MF-ing Eyebrows--Haha! Funny. Nah, just "Sybrows". It's hilarious that ZQ's first breakout role that broke his typecasting as villains was sans his most definitive feature--his big honking eyebrows! You can tell from interviews that he missed his eyebrows for those 6 months. Apparently he had a unibrow when he was younger. LOL. Poor guy. Luckily, some people find all that hairiness attractive. He's even got heart-shaped chest hair.

HRG means "Horn-Rimmed Glasses". It's what the character was called before the writers ever gave him a name (which turned out to be Noah Bennet). They were going for that whole mysterious persona thing for a while until they gave him a name.

And yep, One Of Us, One Of Them and Angels And Monsters (that last picture is from the latter) are awesome episodes for all that HRG/Sylar interaction. Noah and Angela a.k.a. Mama Petrelli really do a number on Sylar towards the beginning of the season.

And of course, The Second Coming set off his infatuation/obsession with Claire to a whole new level (and it was definitely set up back in Fallout and Distractions where he used it to get under Noah's skin and was being super creepy with it when he was in the Bennet house). If you haven't seen the whole season yet, you'll see more of that (especially the finale). Sylar can't kill Claire and Claire can't kill Sylar. And in Angels And Demons, you see Sylar actually choosing to save Claire while Noah finally has the opportunity to get rid of Sylar, and tries it even though Sylar just saved Claire's life.

The next team-up coming in the season is another one I find quite awesome (Danko). Into Asylum's oldies montages make my heart go pitter-pat (Sylar on the rainy rooftop to Runaway and Sylar/Danko in the car to We Gotta Get Out Of This Place). And that's without mentioning the shape-shifter stalking! That Del Shannon/Runaway scene in particular is just made of pure awesome with the creepy scene in Danko's car and then the cut to "I'm a-walkin' in the rain..." Perfect.

I Am Sylar is hands down the best episode of the season, though (an amazing back-and-forth segment of Sylar shape-shifting between himself and his mother and talking to himself!). I Am Sylar is probably tied with The Hard Part as the two greatest episodes in the series.

And of course, you'll find out that Noah and Elle are greatly responsible for the monster that Sylar became (Gabriel tried to hang himself after his first victim and Noah had Elle save him so they could test him and even fed him his second victim so they could see him kill). That's in Villains. Sylar definitely has it out for Noah (and is also using Claire as a wedge against him as seen in that last scene in Angels And Demons).

And of course, Angela does her fair share of shameless using this season. Well, she ultimately does end up making Sylar into her son after all. ;)

You also get to look forward to the sexiest scene in the series at the beginning of The Eclipse, pt. 2 (Sylar/Elle).

And hey... I'm working on the rest of TOS, don't worry! Nimoy and Kelley rock my socks, too.

I'm wondering- since Zach named his dog Noah, did he get the name from working on Heroes?

Looks like Heroes is going to have to be put on my "stuff to watch when both kids are at school" list! (Bear in mind, young master trampledamage is only two and a half, so it'll be a while yet... :) )

I'm trying to stay out of here, because we've seen Heroes Season 1; but we've been waiting to get a blu-ray player for two and three. Major spoilers in here, I'm assuming. I think we are just about to get a blu-ray player as soon as "Mad Men" Season 2 comes out next week. My husband can't resist any more.

Did you see the other one? (The guy who wrote it cheerfully admits to ripping off the format from the guy who wrote yours. He even seems to have got his online a couple of weeks before Rod Hilton's, going by the threads here which talked about it.)

so, nile, how could you leave 'exposed' off that list of sylar episodes? i gave up after a while and have just been watching them in sequence, and this episode gives us a huge part of that character's motivation. (finally!) i admit there isn't a lot of killing in it, but what fun is that, anyway, if it's just sort of meaningless? guess i'm prolly only speaking for myself here, but i love characters who stand up to a little basic psychoanalysis. this is why i enjoy spock so much, he has always been the deepest of the TOS characters. seems like quinto has a talent for playing guys who are conflicted and complicated. i look forward to seeing more of this work for many years to come. :)

ps - big thanks to everyone who's been posting the pics! what fun! screencaps are great, but i like the candid ones the best. esp. the one where he has the string in his mouth. that's adorable.

Sure, whatever, no time for chit-chat, we've got to get to the federation outpost that I knew about, but never bothered going to. By the way, we're good friends. Really, really good friends. Have I mentioned what good friends we are?

Well, yeah. I left a lot of priceless episodes off the list (I mean, his appearance in one episode is eating ice cream--and while it adds a dimension to the character, it's not exactly a show-changing moment), because if I didn't, I'd just post the whole darn show's list of episodes (which sort of defeats the purpose of my personal 'best of Sylar' list).

Obviously, the show should be watched in order.

And LOL about the parody script. Yeah, I've seen more than a few sites make Spock/Sylar crossover jokes.

Oh. my. god. so, that was actually fun! listening to last season against my will while staying with my dad had me convinced that show was pretty corny.
....well, it is. but fun. and without the subtitles i totally missed how funny the japanese guys are. of course i was miffed how in the last several there is even less zach than usual. one thing i will say for it - my fav show is actually 'mad men', which has taking things nowhere down to an artform. heroes sure does move! that ending had me rolling! they didn't actually think that was gonna work, did they?.... ah, i digress. sorry guys, my b/f thinks it's beneath him and i have no one to discuss nerdy media stuff with, be it star trek or anything else.

Oh, that was lovely. I'm glad they thought of the troops. I'd seen pictures of it, but not the footage.

Quinto calling that one soldier's daughter on the phone was adorable ("This is hotness."). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=retZTePfAVQ

Urban got left behind. LMAO. Bana seemed to really like hanging with the troops. And what Abrams said about what the troops were doing being important was really nice.

Kudos to Abrams, Cho, Urban, Bana, Saldaña, Quinto and Pine for doing that.
