Sim: I'm not sure that's the only reason.
T'Pol: "What do you mean?"
Sim: "Was there ever anything between you and Trip?"
T'Pol: If you are referring to a romantic relationship, no.
Sim: "The reason I ask is...well...you're all I think about, if you know what I mean."
T'Pol goes still, staring at him in shock.
Sim: "And I'm not talking about an adolescent crush. That was..."
He shrugs lightly, giving her a little smile.
Sim: "That was two days ago."
Then his tone becomes serious once more. His face is an open book.
Sim: "This is much more serious, the way I feel about you."
T'Pol says nothing, but tears well in her eyes.
Sim: "Anyway...what's driving me crazy is...I don't know if these feelings are mine or his."
[Looooove this scene. One of my absolute favorites.]
Geeez HR, I was counting on you to do this scene, and was hoping for at least... Two hundred words... I'm totally disappointed... Ah, well...
Anyway, where were we...
"I can't answer that," T'Pol said, barely mustering the strength to push the words out, her voice cracking, making them almost inaudible.
Sim: "I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
Don't blame HR. That'll be the rules of Line-by-Line. I think you really want an episode novelisation more than what's on offer here.
I like to throw in some description here and there, usually at the start of a scene, but really there's nothing to say a poster has to. Look at the other episode games going on, which get done in half the time. That's the frustrating thing about doing this for ENT, compared to the others. Just how much detail goes unspoken or part of an elaborate action scene. I wonder how they're managing with that Line-by-Line for the new film? With so much going on, I bet they leave loads of stuff out.
There was hardly much dialogue during the moment Trip had his accident. So much so, I got lost for a few posts looking at the dialogue alone. Yep, the whole episode stems from that one event and we almost sailed straight past it! LOL.
T'Pol: I'm not uncomfortable.
Sim: "I just thought I should tell you this, while I still had the chance."
Archer in Ready Room.
Door Chime goes off.
Archer: Come in.
Sim: "I want to pilot one of the shuttlepods."
Archer: That's out of the Question.
Sim: "It's my plan. I think I should have a say in how it's implemented."
Archer: This is a dangerous procedure. You've never flown a Shuttlepod before.
Sim: "Yes, I have.
Trip has thousands of hours of flying time...
...and I have his memories."
Archer: I can't jeopardize this ship on the strength of those memories. Mayweather and Reed will pilot the Shuttlepods. I want you to coordinate from the Bridge. T'Pol will assist you.
Sim: "You're worried something'll happen to me, aren't you?
You want to make sure I'm around because you need part of my brain."
Archer: Yeah, that's part of it.
Sim: "So your concern for my safety is really about saving Trip?"
