Great! I hadn't heard anything about the latter two. Good to know the books are continuing the series.
I'll miss you guys. I hope to return next year. Have fun! Don't go blind from the brightness of that carpet.
I'm in Baltimore now, heading over to the Brandywine Museum to check out some Wyeths before Shore Leave commences on Friday!
You're not the only one. I have both The Essential Batman Encyclopedia and Hellboy II: The Golden Army freshly off the press. Woo hoo.
I know Dayton and Kevin's book is due soon; Greg just got the green light for his second book; and I'm drafting my story proposal now. I'll be writing my first original novel until end of September. I'll start writing my 4400 book in October, and I plan to finish it by end of December. With any luck, my book — the last of the four — will be out by Shore Leave next year, along with my original novel.
OK, let's not scare her off before she even gets there! (Fortunately, she doesn't frequent these boards, so she can't see how depraved you all are... until it's too late!)
A reminder that the new Big Finish short story anthology Doctor Who: Short Trips: The Quality of Leadership will be on sale at the convention from me for the low low price of $20. The following contributors will be on hand to sign the book as well: Kahtleen O. David Peter David Keith R.A. DeCandido (editor) Linnea Dodson John S. Drew Allyn Gibson Terri Osborne James Swallow Richard C. White
FYI: I just got word that the panel on the 4400 book program has been moved to 11 am on Sunday. The change won't make the printed programs, alas, but look for us in the Hunt Room at eleven.
I've read this book. It's great. I just wish I could be at Shore Leave to get it signed! I'm hoping to go next year, too. I expect reports!
Okay, as Keith and Greg are blazing the trail for talking about non Trek stuff at Shore Leave, I'd like to mention that I'll be bringing along some trailers and exclusive clips from the Stargate and Blake's 7 audio dramas and talking about the series at the "Stargate and Beyond" panel; I may have to chase up a CD player, though...
Hey if anyone from the forum (who's not actually on a panel) is going, can they twitter the PB panel and give us the link? I'm in love with twitter and it would be sweet to get the real time updates for those of us that can't go.
Greg Cox and David Mack 4400 books picking up where the series left off? I'm sure there will be interesting ST book announcements this weekend but they are going to have a hard time getting me as excited as this news is. I've already got Cox's first 4400 book but haven't started it yet since I'm in the middle of reading Neal Stephensons System of the World, which is taking a long time...
Can't wait to hear the report, Keith. I love that Shore Leave falls on my seven-year board "anniversary"; I can't think of a better way to celebrate than to post eagerly in response to some always-welcome book news.
