The Federation: Join the Fight for Survival

Come and check out the Federation, a completely member-run group of simmers who write in a dystopian future for Star Trek. After defeating a sinister alliance of Gorn, Breen and others, the remaining Starfleet officers work to pick up the pieces.

Our group of a half dozen ships are full of closely-knit, involved writers who enjoy posting for fun. Unique features include:
**A member-comprised command board, with a rotating staff, who make policy decisions for the group
**A brief training Academy to introduce new members to our posting style
**The Federation News Service, where any members may write interest and news articles.

If you have any questions, please contact me at whiteschwoch@hotmail.com.

    Hope to see you there!

USS Orion: Join the Ones Who Live!

The Orion, along with her veteran crew, has lived her life to the fullest. Fought off Klingon rebels, dealt with a Cardassian tyrant who cloned former Bajoran Occupation prisoners and slaves, even cured two colonies of the same plague.

In it's 4th year of life, the Orion, commanded by the notorious Captain Alexandra Cooper, has rescued one of their own after a lengthy imprisonment. Now comes the time to save a planet of annihilation.

It is time to live as if every day were your last. Will you live with us?

Where do you want to go today?

That is the only question. We go everywhere. From across the quadrants to time itself, not intentionally, we just have that luck.

With 13 Type X phaser arrays and 4 torpedo tubes, we are a formidable match for enemies just as the Akira and Galaxy class ships. We even have 13 shuttlecraft; 2 of which are dedicated fighters with an impressive armament, most of which are the pilots who fly them. We also have a Delta Flyer, and the Tarawa's own Aerowing Shuttle. All of that is great, but useless if well, you can't cover it. The Tarawa sports a Multi Layered Shielding System (MLSS) and has even been outfitted with Ablative Hull Armor technology. The USS Voyager taught us well how to equip a ship like this, and we make every effort to act on those suggestions.

We're light, we're fast, we're tough and we have a great crew. We are always on the look out for new crewmembers from Department Heads, down to the cook who keeps us fed and the bartender who helps make the day go away. I encourage you to look around the site and see all that we have to offer.

Do you like battles? Intruder alerts? What about some temporal mix? What can you do for us? Better question is what can we do for you? We have many many openings all over the ship. We hide, we seek, we fight, and we even play. We don't get much rest, but we are always up to the call. If you need protection, the Tarawa is who provides it.

No Rest for the Weary is our game, and we play it well.

Check us out. You won't be disappointed.

if you like Starfleet's Advanced Tactics, we are your ship.

Gateway Station - The Gamma Quadrant Awaits!

Ever since it’s discovery the Bajoran Wormhole has been a subject of great debate throughout the galaxy. Questions plague us about it’s origins, it’s nature, and who truly controls the mystical wonders inside. It has served as a gateway between realms of exploration and discovery in far off lands, and it has given rise to new beliefs and thoughts thanks to the mysteries locked inside the tunnel between the stars. Thanks to it thousands of star systems once beyond our reach now rest at our fingertips. The Bajoran Wormhole has given us a chance to go boldly where none have gone before.

Since being uncovered the Wormhole has belonged to the Republic of Bajor and has been defended by the mammoth Starbase known as Deep Space Nine. Since it's activation the Federation has had a defensive role and limited abilities to explore this uncharted space. Our probes into this uncharted space at one time led to conflict and disaster, but that has changed. With the support of the Dominion, the Federation is launching it's first return trip to this far off area in almost a generation.

Hosted from the newly constructed Gateway Station – a rebuilding of Deep Space Nine duranium beam by beam – the purpose of this new group is to see to the continued defense of the wormhole and to continue the voyages already begun by the generation before them. Their mission is clear: to continue seeking out new worlds and new civilizations in the wilds of the far off Gamma Quadrant. They will continue to go boldly where no one has gone before.

While on assignment to rechart the distant Idran System, the DS9 away team aboard the USS Constellation received a distress call from an unidentified starship. An away team is sent aboard where they discover that the crew has murdered one another in the most brutal and savage ways. The question is why did they kill one another?

Shortly afterward a gravitic mine explodes near to the ship and unleashes a strange radioactivity toward the ship. The neural impulses of the crew begin to flucutuate and they begin transforming into savages. With primative forces driving the crews every move, it is up to the Away Team to return to the ship and try to reverse the effects before the ship and crew are destroyed.

Meanwhile, aboard Gateway Station, culture clashes come to a head between the multiple cultures assigned to this new embassy among the stars. Can peace be maintained on the station or will this first joint venture between the major powers of the Alpha Quadrant end in failure before it even begins?

    Task Force 86 - T.R.I.D.E.N.T

In a volatile area of space bordered by the Klingon's, Romulan's and the Federation itself - merely a stones throw away from the warmongering Gorn Hegemony, adding to the potential turmoil - Task Force 86, named T.R.I.D.E.N.T, stands ready to mount tactical, scientific, and clandestine operations within either enemy or neutral territory in order to oversee the safety of the Federation and the continued, though tenuous, stability of the entire region.

As critical units of this team which makes up the great trident, split into three prongs, or Task Groups, driven forward by the central command shaft that is Independents, these brave vessels, groups and crews seek additional brave, gifted and loyal individuals to bring the peace that this area so desperately needs after the events of the Dominion War and Star Trek: Nemesis.

The following are some basic details of each critical element of the Task Force which has elected to be a part of this recruitment drive.

Welcome to the new USS Endeavour!!!

This is the 10th year that the SIM has been running so happy birthday.

We are an RPG sim that is played via email, but there is a members section with a forum so you can chat freely to other crew members. Want to join?

The SIM has been around now since about 1997, which we are all very proud of. It has had three captains, all of which have been an asset to the ship.

This is currently the second ship in the SIM. The Endeavour-C was a Galaxy class ship that had to be set adrift after a collection of life forms embedded themselves in the ship. Starfleet Command ruled that the civilization life had a right to live and we had to give the ship up. Endeavour-D was given to us as a Prometheus class, which is one of the most advanced ships in the fleet. We are capable of going into a multi-vector attack mode, which means we can split into three inpidual ships capable of warp, more movement, and defending itself. Endeavour-D has holo-emitters on each deck for the IMH program and regenerative shielding.

We also have an advanced weapon called the Isokentic Cannon, but this can only be used when the ship is in one piece. We are also able to use the transporters while shields are up due to the unique design of the hull. The ship is equipped with a slipstream drive, which allows us to travel great distances in a fraction of the time. Warp is still the normal means of traveling though.

The current Captain is Ariba Sultan. we have a bunch of chief postions open and if your hurry you can join us for soem fun with the Q!!! http://sim.ussendeavour.co.uk/

    Star Trek: Horizons

Set in the mid-24th century, ten years after the return of the U.S.S. Voyager, this RPG takes place on the remote frontier of the Federation. Weeks away from any Starfleet reinforcements, a small fleet is actively seeking out new life and expanding the borders of Federation space with only their wits and skill to guide them.

Star Trek: Horizons uses a bulletin board system for gameplay, allowing characters to interact with each other on a more personal level than in Play by E-Mail RPGs. The game is moderated by Star Trek veterans to make sure that all technology used is canon, and that the storyline remains as faithful to the Star Trek universe as possible.

Come and join an amazing Star Trek experience that is fun and stimulating!

Continuing Voyages - The Adventure Continues! ACTIVE

Have you ever wanted to be a part of the Star Trek Experience? Have you ever wanted to explore strange new worlds with Captain Kirk and Mister Spock of the Enterprise or help Captain Picard and his crew to defuse a turbulent situation before it became an interstellar incident? Have you ever wanted to sit on the bridge with Captain Sisko and the crew of DS9 while they fought the good fight against the enemy or explore strange phenomenon while you're heading home like Captain Janeway and the crew of the Voyager? If you have answered yes to any of these questions then I have the perfect place for you. Welcome to Star Trek: Continuing Voyages.

Seven years as of September 2007, Continuing Voyages is a Star Trek PBEM set in the early 25th Century. In our series the Federation has just come out of a blood thirsty war with an enemy called the T'Saz and is finally back at peace. We're going back to the basics of the Federation and proceeding on a mission that has defined the Federation since the very beginning: exploring strange new worlds and civilizations. Even now the Enterprise is on its way to its next mission - and it promises to be an exciting one.

    Nightfall - CURRENT MISSION

Three months ago the Enterprise crew had a run in with the intergalactic prankster Q. During their meeting the omnipotent member of the Continuum gave the crew the mission that would define them and the Federation for generations - or lead to the ultimate destruction of life as we know it should they fail. They have been asked to travel throughout the uncharted Wilds (an area beyond Cardassian Space) and locate a series of mysterious relics that will lead whomever finds them to the greatest power in the universe. Having acquired the first relic in their quest, the crew has gotten back on the road to find the next relic.

There is a problem though. It's called Mar Oscura - or (as the ancient Bajorans called it) the black death. A deep dark matter nebula filled with pockets of radiation that could result in death and destruction if touched, the next relic is hidden on a planet somewhere deep inside the nebula. Despite the risks the Enterprise and its crew have agreed to proceed to explore the dangerous region to recover the rune with the aid of the scoutship USS Aurora.

However, disaster has struck. Upon arrival the Enterprise crew has found the USS Aurora stricken inside the nebula and calling for help. Without the aid scoutship travel through the nebula is beyond dangerous - and recovery of the Aurora would risk the loss of the relic (especially with the growing strain on the planet in center of the nebula).

Can the Enterprise crew recover the relic and save the crew of the Aurora? Join us and you can make the difference!

On behalf of the crew of the Enterprise I thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope that you'll consider joining us and becoming a part of the adventure. There will always been a place for you here.

Star Trek: Vengeance is currently recruiting new members. Vengeance began in 2000 and has grown into an elaborate story of conflict, self discovery and intrigue. This isn't your ordinary SIM. Some focus on the action, dishing out story lines that are recycled plots from the various Trek series. Vengeance is a fresh and bold new approach to the familiar Star Trek universe. We're looking for a new Chief Medical Officer, Counselor, Helm Officer, and Tactical Officer. A brief description is below. Interested? Sign up today! VENGEANCE HOMEPAGE

In 2390, the Federation has chosen to move forward from the days of wars and battles by returning to its roots - exploring strange new worlds. With the Gamma Quadrant remaining unexplored, the powers that be have sent one vessel into the quadrant on a five-year mission. But this is anything but ordinary. This adventure is more than a story of a ship, it's about those who have left their homes in search of strange new worlds and civilizations. Each person has their own story, their own struggle, and their lives cross with one another. While completing their mission, they will be discovering something far more valuable - themselves.

Star Trek: Vengeance s a long-standing play by E-mail group. It is a character-driven, continuing plot adventure based in the Star Trek universe. We are currently recruiting new writers who are interested in creating dynamic characters, being involved in exciting, fresh plots, and focusing on characters more so than techno-babble. Just one post a week is required for participation! This Star Trek is like none other; think of Star Trek blended with TV's Dallas, Dynasty , with a big-dose of science fiction. Interested? Join us today.

Based on the universe as introduced in Star Trek as created by Gene Roddenberry and the long running fan-written series Star Trek: Vengeance.

    Isolated, vulnerable, outnumbered, outrun…

These are just some of the things that will be experienced by the crew of the USS Discovery, a Nova class ship assigned to Task Force 9 in the Gamma Quadrant.

During our missions, we will frequently be many days travel from the closest Starfleet presence. We do the exploring, we make the First Contacts, and we do the grunt work. There’s no room for glamour and ceremony, and if things get dangerous, we’ll be the first to know. There are still pockets of Dominion power out there, and they don’t all take the peace treaty seriously.

The Discovery doesn’t have a huge amount of weaponry, our maximum speed is warp 8, and our shields can only take a few direct hits before failing. Things can get very messy very quickly, and yet we’re on the front line. Not the front line of any war, but the front line of exploration.

    Which is more testing?

    You be the judge.

Many positions are still needed. To apply, just go to: http://www.discovery.srhost.info/
