That sounds awesome! It's far enough out that I might just be able to get the boss to sign off on a trip to Atlanta for the weekend.

We're still clearing a few hurdles, but it is our intention to involve the convention attendees who want to be in our fan film with that production.

I take it this will be a mother Klingon bar given the umber of Klingons present at last year's convention. Sounds like fun.

Don't forget the comely Orion dancers from Tennessee. :)

In the treatment I've written so far, the bar owner is a familiar chap.

Project Potemkin "The Lucky One", wrapped up primary scene filming today at Renda and Timothy Carr's home, Birmingham, Alabama. This film short is set in Sickbay and the CMO's office and gives the fans a look into life in Sickbay and those all too fleeting moments for mortal existence.

Primary filming completed today, the only scene left to film is a key scene for CMO Drake in communique with Captain Gregory.

This vignette will give fans a deeper insight into Doctor Maura Drake, some of her medical staff and just where the good Doctor's heart is.

This is just a update for you all regarding the filming for "The Lucky One"

We had a great day setting up the set and getting into make-up, costumes and going over lines, then filming.

My heartfelt thanks to Tim, Jim, Kim, Keith, Mark for all the dedicated hard work today. It is really refreshing to work with such consummate professionals.

Hi Randy, Tim and I were discussing that this evening. His Work schedule has him what the Studio calls, Blocked in four by four the rest of this week. We are looking at Probable, this coming Sunday to reset up the stage for the second set, and film on Sunday. But we will keep you updated. If not this Sunday, then the next one....

Just a note, Tim's job is now stepping into extreme busy mode until after all the Autumn Special events and High School sports have concluded.

Send me a pic of the set for this shot when you can.

Meanwhile, here's a pic of the exterior of the captain's ready room from VFX artist RH Barr, based on Dennis Bailey's Constitution refit.

That looks pretty neat! I've found that the FX on Potemkin have been improving with every single release. :) There's always something nifty to look at.

Due to the attack on GoDaddy, the Project Potemkin email, website, production fora, and even our file server are down. Rest assured that nothing has been lost or destroyed; we have plenty of backed up material, but it makes communications difficult at this time. We have been assured that the websites and related services will be restored soon. Until then, we can be contacted either here or on FaceBook.

We've been busy on so many fronts I really don't know where to begin on this update, so if it rambles a bit, bear with me.

    1) Finished the artwork on "The Engineer's New Clothes." DVD Cover and Posters are now available, and we'll get them uploaded to the Potemkin site this weekend.

    2) Working on the costuming for "Beach Towel," which will be filmed on October 20th. Sara Higgins MacKenzie is working on a jacket for Carter Winston (to be played by Keith Harris). Kim Landers is working on vests for our Klingon farmers which will appear in "Beach Towel" and "The Shovel of Kahless" (filming November 17th).

    3) Have secured the facial appliances needed for "Beach Towel" and "The Shovel of Kahless." Makeup test this Sunday for our two primary Klingons for "Shovel." Should be fun.

    4) Working on securing both locations for these two episodes. Both negotiations nearly finished.

    5) Have received the first video tape of the shoot from "The Lucky One" which is set in our CGed Sickbay. Will be turning it over to Rick Foxx for editing when he returns from vacation.

    6) Have finished stripping the appliques off the bridge. Going to look at using woodfiller and putty and bondo on it this weekend. Bridge set not needed until December, so we're on target for that.

    7) Contacted local artist Sean Mulkey for his help in creating a special background for "Red Sky at Night," a really cool vignette from David Eversole. Sean and I will be going to Lowes on Monday to pickup the paint and brushes he wants. This will be spectacular when done. This episode will film when he's finished, probably in November or December, and will star William Searcy, Jeff Green and Pamela Robinson.

    8) Secured three special facial appliances for an episode to be shot in the winter at Ocmulgee State Park in Georgia. We're going to capitalize on the alien-looking environment there.

    9) Lastly, we're working on establishing an alternate location to download our vignettes/episodes. Stay tuned for more details.
