The earlier time slot (from Wednesdays 5:00PM to Sundays 7:30 AM) changed the viewer demographic to almost all young boys.

Wait - no spandex? It's faux biker leather this time? Wicked.

Didn't know about the time slots = gender bias thing. Still, I remember lots of the earlier episodes where a Yellow Ranger morphed and her breasts suddenly disappeared, while Pink's remained pleasantly perky & present.

Although it looks as if it would be more restrictive for the suit actors to be able to fight in.

The stunt suit will probably be different.

Haim Saban caught lightning in a bottle with the original MMPR cast + Jason David Frank.

Did they even need Bulk & Skull?

Anyways, if they just decide to stick any attractive martial artist/gymnast/dancer in those latex suits the shows and the concepts won't be as successful.

Or else you endup with Rocky ("Shudder!") and Aisha. :(

Bulk and Skull's son are just there to infuse "Samurai" with some MMPR nostalgia

    Chief Producer - Naomi Takebe
    Main Writer - Yasuko Kobayashi

So it's going to be a stinking pile of shit judging by the staff. I'm really not surprised that "morphing" was used since Kobayashi was the one who had "G-Zord" in the Timeranger series.

Huh? Kobayashi's a great writer, I loved every series she wrote. I don't know what Naomi Takebe did exactly, only that she worked on Kamen Rider for years and considering that Kamen Rider kicks ass, I'm pretty exited.:bolian:

She produced Kamen Rider OOO recently. I watched the whole series and to me the whole thing just zoomed by.

One minute you're on episode 4 and the next you're on episode 30.

I think this series will have alot more "Kamen Rider" influence in style and tone.

The background plot of the building transported to another dimension and three kids escaping the building sounds like something Kamen Rider would do.

She did Kamen Rider Kiva which essentially Twilight + KR.

She also known for stuffing her shows with toys, relatively little plot progression through the series, no continuity with the movies and for destroying the ratings for the Rider franchise, which still haven't recovered.

Basically a kind of producer the people selling toys would love.

Edit: which also means that she won't be back for the next rider series :techman:

Which is funny because Go-buster lacks a gimmick.

No special key's or engine souls or auxiliary animals.

Apparently Gokaiger's Ranger key's are doing so well that they're continuing the line till early 2012.

I'm digging the suits this time out. I've always liked the more mecha-oriented / paramilitary / police Sentai versus the magical / mystical editions, and these guys look like they could actually WEAR their threads in mixed company. This may be the first one I have more than a passing interest in since Dekaranger. :)

That said, I recently caught the Gokaiger vs. Goseiger movie and enjoyed it. The cameos from Sentai series I both did and didn't know was great, and they even featured the Daedenjin toy I actually HAD as a kid! Now, I know that continuity is hardly a priority in this sort of show, but it did seem wierd that ALL of the previous Sentais were still up and around fighting... Don't some of them lose their powers at the end of their series, akin to their Ranger counterparts?

  First rule of Sentai (and PR) Club...never ask WHY things are the way they are. ;) As you've mentioned, the teams typically lose their powers at series end-regain them for the for a one shot movie, then lose them again. Gokaiger's premise dictated, all 34 previous teams somehow gathered to fight the Zangyack empire, lost their powers after winning, with the pirates venturing out and gaining possession of them.
