Small shows are the best. I mean, sure, there is fun to be had at large ones as well, but always by far preferred the smaller venues. Not only is one much closer to the artist and the music, but the mood always seems to be better.

Was at a show of the group that my cousin used to be a part of (pretty sure they've since disbanded), audience about 70 people. We lifted the roof of that place with our good mood! :D

Oh and: tois est tres belle ;)

    Natalie Duran?

It was actually Warp Coil who got me to try climbing about a year ago. I highly recommend it - the first few times you'll be extremely sore (particularly in the forearms) but it's a fun way to stay in shape and you meet a lot of awesome people. The heights thing isn't a big deal because there's no real risk of ever falling on toprope.

Had a 'photoshoot' with my cousin today, he mostly took pictures of me, he's got a really nice, fairly new camera- at least, new since I last saw visited. We took loads of pics but I don't want to spam up the thread, so I'll just post three:

yeah, I like her weirdness. I tried the climbing thing, i liked it alright, but there wasn't anyplace to do it regularly where I used to live, there probably is here, but i don't know where

    Thanks J.! :)

Eh, what else is Facebook for? I've hardly posted anything else there for months. :p

But yeah, I'm sure he could do that.

It was amazing...very intimate. Someone caught the encore on camera (they must have been right by me). It's a song from Matilda the Musical (Minchin wrote the music and lyrics and was here in NYC to promote the show). Some of the cast were in the audience and sang along, it was so fun!

Very cool! I almost never get front row seats at music shows (except for Three Dog Night, and that was worth every minute of people behind me pressing and squishing me up against the partition between the stage and the audience).

When I saw Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway I sat very close to the front. One of my favorite shows ever. :techman:

(Thank God I managed to catch it while Alfred Molina was still starring.)

Last time I sat in the front row was for a play that Avery Brooks starred in. I wanted to "reach out and touch someone" so badly!

My little girl Kira just turned six months old, to celebrate we got a few pictures done. She was in a great mood, so playful and interactive.

Lovely photos. It's so much better when the litter person cooperates with the photographer. I've had a photo session or two with my kids when they were younger that didn't go quite so smoothly, to say the least. ;)
