Thanks, I think so too. Only wish I framed the shot a little better.

Gaseous, always love your aircraft pictures. Being ex-Air Force makes my day every time I see some of your shots.

Sweet aircraft pics! I always love seeing vintage jets actually flying rather than just on static display.

I think so. My other lower had three roots!

I got it done Saturday afternoon, and it's now early Monday and I'm still needing the Vicodin. I've never had one this bad, and I definitely have a high pain tolerance (as confirmed by my dentist). With the other three I just took Ibuprofen for a couple days and was done. Have to say, it's making the workday interesting so far. My boss is sweetly concerned about me, meaning for the next couple days I'll likely enjoy a very light workload and being really high at the office!
More than once I've had people tell me I am "stoic" during medical procedures. I think it comes from having so many done starting at such an early age. This one was bad, though! Especially before he realized I wasn't numb! But at least the music was good, giving me something else to focus on, and I have an awesomely fucked up tooth to show off!

For some reason I imagine you sitting at your work computer, eyes sort of glazed over and happy smile on your face. Just sort of sitting there and staring into space.

So where are the actual shelters? Or did they consider the church the shelter?

^The signs are on all kinds of old buildings -- churches, libraries, and all of the schools around New York that I taught in.

So the building itself was the shelter? Not pointing to some underground lead lined bunker?

They all have basements, but I don't know how protected they actually are. These are relics of the 50s, when instructional videos taught people to duck and cover under their schooldesks in case of a nuclear attack.

I've never seen that here, though this country tends to pull down it's old signs compared to the US so maybe they just got rid of them.

Looks like fun, we could see the Intrepid from the hotel room in Time Square, but there was no way to include it in the short visit this summer.

I'm hoping to do more business in NY later in the year, I'll have to make the stop there then.
