As close to a "selfie" as I'm likely to get for a while. ;)

Cool shot. You really make me want to get out in the city for a day of shooting. I had to content myself with an indoor shoot this morning.

I was trying out a new extension tube for my camera which is supposed to turn any lens into a macro lens. This flower is about the size of a dime. I will definitely need to use a tripod for these kind of shots. It's almost impossible to get the subject in focus shooting by hand.

Went to the Demicon, the Des Moines Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Gaming convention today. My brother and I had to take a couple pics in front of a familiar phone box:

    ^That's very cool, OdoWanKenobi.

I went to a medieval festival on Thursday. It takes place every year and is always great fun. Taking pictures was hard, though, because it was very crowded and people were always getting in the way. However, I thought I'd share some of the better pictures with you.

This guy is frying chickens over open flames. Next to the people who work at the festival (sales people, stuntmen, artists), there are also a bunch of people who actually live there. Just like in the middle ages. My friend's brother used to do that.

Here you could buy homemade soap and all sorts of ingredients.

    "Death" is lurking ...

No medieval festival without a proper tournament.

I put on my Pertwee for the 2014 Starfest costume contest. I won a Doctor Who only contest earlier in the day but stood no chance against the close to 9ft tall Godzilla, or nearly as tall Iron Giant that were in the main contest pictured here.

Great pictures. The forest in the background looks splendid, thick and lot of textures. Where is this?

Those are great shot selina - especially the action ones (I include death in that category!).

    I have had a baby.

He decided to arrive last Monday, so he's a week old today. I swear he opens his eyes sometimes, but those pics are hard to get. Oh, and we named him Ryker.
