I love shit about twins and mistaken identity and all that prince and the pauper/parent Trap/As You Like it... Anything that allows for a masquerade... yes I like the lying Game and yes I pretended that Ringer didn't suck.

Skuzzie, kinda hot low life drug dealer (seemingly not a junkie, or it least not trouble by recreational use like the losers you see on PSAs) grifter makes a chance connection with her doppelgänger who is throwing her self under a train.

Tickity clack, clack clack clack, clack!

Marvellous pacing, great direction and an interesting set of music choices, because you got some spooky dooky at work here... But what does the hero of our story do when confronted with possibly a rendition of herself invading her world from the other side of the frakking looking glass?

    What does she do?

Our hero steals her dead twin's handbag and wallet that was left under awning away from where she lept under the carriage.

    I mean that's understandable?

So what does she do next?

Finds some house keys and plans to loot and plunder possibly her sisters house for anything of value.

Maybe she's a dick, and maybe she had a plan and all this bull shit is white noise getting in the way of what's really important.

Deffinitely a drama, very dark but elements of humour, not haw haw humour but there are a few situations which called for a wry smile now and then as "Sarah" took advantage of her situation walk a day in another woman's shoes.

The bad? Americans attempting English accents. It's BBC America making this show, and it has to ba viable in a British market when they sell it back tot he homeland. the two women with the same face... One is English the other American.

The Good? I saw her bum and some underboob. lets hear it for partial rear and angular nudity! Whoop! Whoop! And the swearing is liberal yet properly relevant. Comfortable foul language, over on Lost Girl when they say "shit" you can see that ever one is sniggering amazed that they are allowed to tuck that sort or verbiage udner the wire of the FCC... Or the CCC?

    OH.

The story not that we know it yet from the pilot, but there are strong clues that nothing natural is at work, is about "clones" which means that there are mad scientists some where undertaking a massive global conspiracy who are probably considering cleaning their experiments by sticking a dozen bullets in the backs of a dozen identical heads.

    Definitely Noir.

The criminal even has accidentally taken over the abandoned life of a police Detective so we get to compare this to banshee straight out of the starting blocks. I mean people died. The train left a mostly contiguous corpse but no carnage as creatively cartoony as from Banshee.

The second banana, her foster brother, is gay, but ther's something wrong with his mouth which no one else who is flirting with him seems to notice. Never mind. He seems to be half a dozen walking clichés but that's never no mind.

Science fiction on the cheap, but it certainly has promise. :)

I saw it last night too and liked it quite a bit. It was very engaging. I like the lead and I look forward to seeing where it goes. For those who haven't seen it, it's worth checking out. It has a Charlie Jade vibe to it.

From what I read, it was developed by a Canadian company, the same one that did Being Erica, then it was picked up by BBC America. Maybe they wanted the accents. Where is it set anyway? It was shot in Toronto and the cars had steering wheels on the left.

I was surprised that she went though with the sex. That was a big risk. Stripping down could have gotten her in trouble if she didn't fully look like her twin from head to toe. My favorite part was the look on her face when she realized that she was on top of a complete stranger just to keep him from asking too much about her unusual behavior.

Space is calling it a "Space Original" series, so I'm gathering that they're co-producing the show and BBCA picked it up. I don't recall seeing their logo in the credits though. As for where it takes place, I'm not quite sure. In one interview, Tatiana says her character comes "over here", but that's not too specific. I do seem to recall seeing the CN Tower in one shot, so maybe it's set in Toronto?

The Nerdists had intrviews with the cast and crew and the interviewer interviewing the interview kept complaining about the weather in Toronto.

I liked it, too. It held my attention and the lead character is, for once, not a complete idiot--although certainly of highly questionable morals.

I'll give it a few more episodes to see where it goes, but so far, I'm looking forward to seeing more.

    Questionable morals?

    How so?

    That handbag was fair game.

Everything after that was just for a laugh.

The real questionable morals is from Beth who didn't have the common decency to tell the last person she was ever going to see "Hey? Do you want my shit over there? Have my shit? I'm not going to need it."

It was selfish of Beth to force Sarah to waver that she might be stealing what was just your average cast-off salvage bric-à-brac, like how old guys leave small boxes of used up porn under the benches at the terminal for the next generation of masturbators to uncover in their own lonely closed curtains white knuckled version of the circle of life.

The train station is a magical place.

And thus ended the era of public transportation.

I don't think we take the same trains, and for that I am deeply thankful!

It's not funny if I have to explain the joke, but it's not funny anyway, so never mind.

There comes a point eventually when too many pages are glued together and the naked ladies are inaccessible without a chisel. And even if you're careful hammering away at the cement, it's not going to be the same.

(I'm stealing from a half remember sitcom rant about a bloke who is told to get rid of his porn by his girlfriend, but no one wants it, but then she dumps him and he has to replace his porn, but new porn is really expensive, and he says something like "I can't get my porn from behind the stands at the train station like everyone else, because I'm over 30! I'm the one who's supposed to be leaving it there!)

That was Spaced, and actually they were talking about getting it from the siding of a railway track where they keep the rolling stock, not from the station itself.

    THANK YOU!

I thought Simon Pegg... Then Men behaving Badly took dominance because Bob the Builder had an episode where he was hiding his skin mags inside his guitar from his girlfriend.

I think I conflated the two stories because they're so similar.

Interesting show, liked how they kept ratcheting the awkward moments up a notch till the shooting started. Lots of mysteries to follow no doubt.

There's also a German and probably a bunch of other accents Tatiana's going to have to fake.

My usual complaint is Brits attempting American accents, but I've noticed a few that are really good at it (like David Morrissey from The Walking Dead).

Correct because what'll likely happen is, even if you do manage to split it open there will be a fine bottom with a face of a body-builder from an ad a few pages away. ;)

Anyway I'm passing on this one sight unseen. The ads really put me off giving it a chance. If it someday explodes into a mega-hit I will look for it then.

I was definitely hooked by this show from the very beginning. It doesn't hurt that the lead is smoking hot, and a pretty good actress to boot.

As RAMA said, lots of mysteries to follow, and I'm looking forward to following them.

One thing that was kinda weird is the German birth certificate.

The dialogue stated that Katja was born in Berlin.
The actual certificate claimed that it was an East German document from 1985, but the text they showed stated Würzburg, a West German city about 70 kilometers away from the former border to the GDR. Probably just some production screw up, but still kinda weird.

We're assuming that these clones age naturally.

Of course forced maturation means that our hero could never have been growing up side by side with her foster brother unless he's a handler.

But the documentation might still have to have been faked (poorly) if the girls weren't released from their clone factories until they were 5 or 6... Maybe all the clones started in orphanages?

Factory built or a mass of artificial inseminations were hijacked as the girls were released into the wild.

I wonder if they'll do the same thing as Kyle XY, where we later found out that the main character was part of an experiment's first batch, but certainly not the last one?

Well, we've seen three. They'd be wussies to cap this at three.
