Obviously he doesn't know, because she wasn't dead. But she was going to be executed, and it was going to be by Regina. And he's going to learn this, from Marian herself, in addition to what happened to her before she was captured by Regina and why she was so scared of revealing her identity.

I'm not really sure what you're having trouble wrapping your head around regarding this.

"Isn't going to really change anything"? Regina was going to execute his wife, I'm pretty sure that's going to change things even with Robin understanding she's not the same person now.

Ooh, that would be some fun connections. Don't know that Disney could actually go there with Narnia, though they did produce the movie versions...

Yeah, I think Disney only had movie rights for the Narnia books. I doubt they'd pay to use characters they don't own for a tv series when they have so many to choose from in house.

Marian tells Emma that her family thinks she's dead. Why can't you wrap your head around THAT?

Robin already thought Marian was dead BEFORE she was captured by Regina.

So, when Marion tells him, "No, I wasn't dead at that point, but, Regina was going to kill me the next morning", you don't think that will upset him?

Regina was the Evil Queen. Now she's just Regina Mills. Hook once took Rumple's wife, but they moved past that.

I don't really see why this would happen.

^ Because it creates tension and an interesting conflict. Regina has not only to deal with Marian in the present, her past is catching up with her, too. If it were just Marian she had to deal with in Storybrook, that's one thing. But if Robin learns that the Evil Queen had plans to kill Marian, he might be pissed and view their present relationship in a new light. Therefore, fighting for Robin becomes even harder for Regina.

From a character's point of view it would makes sense, too, to explain what has happened to you.

On the other hand, as I said before, maye Marian was never executed in the first place and always left the prison ... somehow. In which case the odds might slightly be in Regina's favour.

To create conflict between characters? Because Marion will want to tell Robin how she came to be in Storybrooke? Why would Marion not tell him?

I'm really curious about how they're going to use Elsa. In that interview they said the thing they love about her is that she's not really a villain, she's just misunderstood. I can't wait to find out what her history is in the show.

Speaking of that, so the season is over now. What are people's overall opinions?

I loved the first half and thought the Pan stuff was excellent. I really like how they've developed the characters of Hook, Regina and Rumplestiltskin.

I really didn't like Zelena though and I'm glad they wrapped her story up before the final episode, although I wouldn't mind seeing more of the other witches.

Tension drives the story, and Marian provides that tension.

It also allows Emma to step in and protect Regina from assault by stating, "I watched the Evil Queen burn my mother alive, and I know that woman and Regina Mills are not the same. If I can forgive her, Robin, so can you.

As for Elsa... remember what Rumple said about the dark vault. A place for the darkest of magic... and things too unpredictable for him.

I think Elsa lies in the "unpredictable" half of that statement.

Overall I had prefered it if the season had focused on just one thing, either Neverland or The Wicked Witch. That said, I liked the second half more. Anyway, it was a very entertaining season and the series gets better and better.

Good season overall for my money and I'm still enjoying it.

I do have to say they managed to completely and utterly sink any interest I have in Robin/Regina in a way I wasn't expecting. The crossover ship is one thing, but this is Robin Hood and Maid Marian we're talking about - that wins.

    Replying to the wrong person?

Because people talk to each other.

As long as she doesn't break out singing Let It Go a la Idina Menzel, I don't mind her appearance on the show.

Let it go, let it go
    Can't hold back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door

I don't care what they're going to say
    Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway ...

Season 3 is definitely my favorite (I actually stopped watching halfway through S1 and came back for the finale), I really liked how they did two half seasons of a single story. I preferred the Pan story to the Wicked story. She wasn't as interesting a villain.

The Pan story was interesting, I just think it went on a little too long. I enjoyed it overall, I just think it would have been better if it had been shorter. I thought the second half of the season was better. Pan was a more interesting villain, but Zelena put them in a more interesting situation.

I think what everyone needs to let go of is that fucking song!!!

I agree. I loved Peter Pan more, but it was like LOST, just wonder around the island without a real storyline. That actor was one of the best ever on the show.

As they were getting sucked into the portal my wife and I were trying to guess where they would end up. My not-so-serious guess was Tatooine.
