Kirk, Spock, and McCoy stood discussing how
they could turn the Enterprise into a
flagship that would rival the best that
both Starfleet and the Federation could offer.
"Captain," Spock offered, "I suggest that we
modify the Enterprise's engines and outer hull
"Och, Mr. Spock," Scotty chimed in, "Ye
cannae just alter the ship's very design
without first conducting hundreds of simulations to
see if the modifications you're proposing will
damage what is already probably the finest
spacecraft ever built by human hands!!" Spock
wasn't about to concede so easily. "Mr.
Scott, the modifications I am proposing are
"No bragging there," McCoy interrupted.
"You have a tendency to make these
outbursts, Doctor. I believe time spent learning
more about the ideas I am proposing
"Dammit, Spock, I'm a doctor not a
(you guessed that was coming, didn't you?)
