I thought it was due to the shape of the kit pylons. I just built up the trailing edges of my pylons to level them out and mine have stayed up no problem.

The secondary hull and the pylons themselves are a piece of engineering all on their own. Maybe you could use 1/537 Refit saucer hull with that design for a torpedo free high speed cruiser...

I saw this thread, saw the first post and thought wow. Then I saw the original date, and figured some idiot posted in this thread asking for new stuff, which I hate.

Then I saw it has continued!! Woot! Awesome work, can't wait to see it finished.

MY Federation Models components arrived today.

I received my NX-02 deflector dish, shuttlepods, and red bussard domes.

If anyone is on the fence about buying any of these items, don't hesitate.

I highly recommend them, and they're a great deal!

I managed to get quite a bit done today,

    - Skinned the port side nacelle pylon
    - Created pylon under-lights (both sides)
    - Added Starboard hull panel with windows and wired backlights
    - Wired 2 of the 3 Nacelle circuits onto small (3/8" x 1 1/2") PCBs
    - Bussard (3x 3mm red leds)
    - Nacelle Coils (EL Wire)

Here it is from the port side

everything you see on this is built from scratch.

Also, a short vid showing the lights on and off..

That is really amazing, to see someone build a model like this from scratch.

Thanks guys :D I'm really happy with how it's turning out, I've never tried the spotlights before, and I think it's really going to make the pylon details pop.
