Now I'm curious who else tried out for Seven.
And more love for Ballard
Ballard is a cutie. But wasn't she really only in 2 episodes?
No, she was in one episode, "Ashes to Ashes." She was retconned as someone who'd been part of the crew years earlier, but she'd never been seen before. Maybe you're thinking of Jetal from "Latent Image," who died under similar circumstances (Memory Alpha even speculates that Ballard was originally meant to be Jetal).
I must say that Jennifer Lien looks very attractive in that first photo.
Vanessa Angel and Hudson Leick auditioned for the role.
Hmm, you may be correct.
I definitely remember Ballard. You could be right that the "retconning" played tricks in my mind to make me think she actually was in a previous episode.
She was Voyager's Ensign Gomez
It's possible that something awful continually happened to the female guests on the set of Voyager week after week, year after year.
They didn't want to come back, and no one could make them come back.
Though Sonya (Lycia Naff, Total Recall's 3-boobed girl) did get two episodes, Q Who and Samaritan Snare.
Having witnessed Angel's trout pout faux Seven on Stargate, that was a lucky break.
Whatever are you suggesting?
Garret sneaks up behind people and then farts when they least expect.
Hey I wonder how much ribbing Wang got after the People came out.
Or maybe because of the acrimony over you know who he got no good natured ribbing but whenever he was nearby and someone had reason to use the word "people" they said it with deep sarcasm and rolled their eyes in his direction.
Most attractive female: the Captain.
Second most attractive female: the Captain in Admiral form.
Zat is for me to know...
Next time I see him at a con I am going to ask him this. If I'm like, drunk or something.
I bet you 5 bucks he says "Hey, I'm ribbed for your pleasure baby."
He smokes herbal cigarettes. Actual "health food" soft pack cigarettes with no nicotine only herbs.
On the other hand, Hudson Leick is not only a staggering beauty but a staggeringly gifted actress, even more so than Jeri Ryan. But of course if she'd gotten cast as Seven, then Callisto on Xena would've had to disappear or be killed off, and that would've been a shame.
Small world: Vanessa Angel was actually almost cast as Xena in her first appearance on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, but got sick and had to decline the role, leading the producers to fall back on Lucy Lawless even though she'd just played a different guest character a few episodes earlier.
