What secret Empire? Obama was the President during "Secret Invasion" and "Siege" before that. I don't recall any "Secret Empire".

The Secret Empire were the badguys in a 1970s storyline where it turned out that their leader was... Nixon.. who killed himself.

don't try to make sense of Marvel's sliding time. that way lies madness! Franklin will always be a 5-7yr old. Cassie Lang was allowed to become a teenager. Luna (Quicksilver and Crystal's daughter) is what...7 or 8 now?

Franklin's gotta be more like a 7-10 year old now though given Val has been depicted anywhere between 8-10. But yeah it will drive you mad...like it did poor EJA when he attempted to figure it out :)

It can also be fun to think about if you don't take it too seriously - we aren't far off a period where Captain America wakes up post-9/11 (well actually that has already been done in the 'Man out of Time' series by Mark Waid) and all sorts of other things - no wonder he doesn't know what Myspace is ;-)

If we believe that graph I posted, there was a Birthday cake with 5 or 6 candles on it, or there were two birthday cakes one after the other with first 5 then 6 candles on "them"...

Are they going to count this year away in Negative Zone against their birthday's if they're really turning up "seconds" after they left... Which it appears that they haven't. And lets not forget that they spent a year in the negative zone under Byrne's tenure as well.

Time passes at a different rate in the negative zone.

    And in Narnia too.

I'm not sure what you think I was saying, but what I said doesn't make a lick of sense if i didn't know that a year in the negative Zone equals 4 minutes on Earth... Which is true now, and true during Byrne's tenure on the Fantastic Four but not during the construction and maintenance of the 42 Prison. Was it? Because that's a pretty frakked up method of execution if 4 hours on Earth equals 60 years in the Negative Zone which would surpass the life expectany of most mature adults.

Its the reverse of that epiosde of Doctor Who with the plague quarantine.

It was retconned to a senior White House adviser. So maybe it was Karl Rove.

Marvel is giving away 700 free digital #1 issues

Seriously. No catch whatsoever. Go get 700 free comics. That is of course, if you can ever get through to Comixology. Their servers are getting destroyed right now.

Tell me about it. I think I spent over half an hour trying to log in before I gave up. It took forever to load the homepage, and then it wouldn't log me in.

    "We're crashing this website...with no survivors" ;)

Yeah it's taken a while for load for me still even. The offer is good until Tuesday apparently, so hopefully traffic will calm down a bit before then.

The website may not be working, but the iOS app (maybe the Android one too?) still seems to be okay.
