DS9 - "Whispers", "Paradise", "Shadowplay", "Playing God", "Profit and Loss", and "Blood Oath".

I found 'Paradise' and 'Shadowplay' to be a bit repetitive back-to-back. Each was an elaborate deception being played out on a planet of the week. Course, they were different planets and very different deceptions.

At the end of 'Playing God' I was left wondering where they left the expanding baby universe.

I loved 'Whispers' and 'Profit and Loss'. I hadn't seen 'Blood Oath' since it originally aired and I found new nuances to enjoy about it.

Bernie Casey's delivery of Calvin Husdon's dialogue was the worst thing since Eve took over as the liaison to the Senior Partners at Wolfram & Hart.

Nails on a chalkboard. I shit you not.

Direct TV doesn't show anything but STNG, so I just happened to catch the end of SG-1 and watched DataLore. If someone would put Voyager (and the million shuttle showcase) or DS9 I would be watching either show.

Who Mourns for Adonais and Mirror, Mirror. "Mirror" is still ridiculous fun and "Who Mourns" has a great story at it's center.

It would've been the perfect disc if they'd included any other episode than The Inner Light. Which I probably won't ever watch...

I appreciate The Inner Light even though it's not one of my 'go-to' episodes. I'm keen to watch it in HD, however. Hell, I'd be excited to see Shades of Gray at this point in HD :D

Sad, I know. And yes, this is exactly the mentality that got me to buy the sampler in the first place. Oh well.

Sad is the fact that I paid fifteen bucks solely to see Encounter at Farpoint in HD.

Money well spent for me (see my quickie review here) :techman:

I had been meaning to wait a bit and perhaps try and catch these eps by 'other means' since my purchase of the season sets is inevitable, but Resistance is Useless so here I am.

I pre-ordered The Next Level on January 8th. There was no way I was trusting my first exposure to TNG in HD to the encoding skills of some internet hack.

True... but c'mon, it's just a TV show, damnit! Just a TV show!! :guffaw:

I have the YouTube glimpse of the main titles and my own complete lack of willpower to blame
