    TOS: Spectre of the Gun

    Still my favorite of the third season. During the death march to the OK Corral, the Earps seem to be shifting positions. Not sure if it's just a continuity error, or intentional. Or if I'm seeing things.

    I was about to start the novel Demons of Air and Darkness and wanted a refresher on the Iconian gateways. I don't think I'd watched that episode since it originally aired.

    I think that's my 3rd season favorite, too. Shatner was really on the ball in this one. So many moments, from the look in his eyes in the "But why here? And why now?", to his reaction to the old gun "Beautiful specimen." (something about it just works), to his pleading with the Sheriff, which is one of my favorite Kirk scenes ever!

    As we speak, I'm watching The Menagerie-restored version. Wow, the Keylar leaping down on that sword was actually rather violent for the time!

    Lots of fine scenes between cast and guests, letting them simply act, as issues of terrorism, fear, conspiracies, and faith are bounced around.
