Actually Obama is comparatively one of the poorest US presidents. I don't think he could afford to fund a single episode.

Actually it's not the money JJ needs from Obama so much as an Executive order to do it.

I guess he can just have the IRS excessively and repeatedly audit CBS until they either sell the rights to Trek or make a new series. :p

A move Brunt, FCA would be proud of. Perhaps all this "oh he is a Vulcan" nonsense will finally be swept aside now that the true nature of the administration has been revealed.

Who gives a shit? If, at any point, she said, "No, I don't want to do this," then it means no. I don't care if she was already naked and was already in the middle of having sex with someone. If she says no, then it's over.

Tell me, what is it called when a person says no to some sexual activity but is coerced into continuing anyway?

It's not that she almost had or did have sex in at least three sex clubs in at least three countries, that's all cool, and whether she backed out or went all the way, more power to her... But Jeri tattled.

She framed the narrative in such a way as to make her husband more deviant than she is, and less worthy to be a parent than she is because it was his idea that she should agree to go to a sex club and have sex.

What if they had been junkies and he suggested Heroine and she said "Yes please" and they both got stoned... But after they get pinched by the fuzz, Jeri claims that she only shot up because he told her to and that she's completely naive and innocent, and that he should go to jail and that she should be returned home to look after her children.

I think that they should be the same amount of depraved.

    3 different countries.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Fool me thrice, I get off on being fooled.

OH MY GOD. How do we know she went to these sex clubs in three different countries?? We don't. For all we know her husband could have given her the brochures or the big sex tour schedule he had planned out for their summer vacation and she could have balked right there without ever entering the premises. We do not know those details.

Okay I did one second of research and found this:

Referring to Jack Ryan as "Respondent," Jeri Ryan told the court:
"On three trips, one to New Orleans, one to New York, and one to Paris, Respondent insisted that I go to sex clubs with him. These were surprise trips that Respondent arranged. They were long weekends, supposed 'romantic' getaways. . . ."
"The clubs in New York and Paris were explicit sex clubs. Respondent had done research. . . . One club I refused to go in. It had mattresses in cubicles. The other club he insisted I go to. . . . It was a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling. Respondent wanted me to have sex with him there, with another couple watching. I refused. Respondent asked me to perform a sexual activity upon him, and he specifically asked other people to watch. I was very upset. We left the club, and Respondent apologized, said that I was right and he would never insist that I go to a club again. He promised it was out of his system.
"Then during a trip to Paris, he took me to a sex club in Paris, without telling me where we were going. I told him I thought it was out of his system. I told him he had promised me we would never go. People were having sex everywhere. I cried, I was physically ill. Respondent became very upset with me, and said it was not a 'turn on' for me to cry." In response, Jack Ryan told the court the claims were "ridiculous" and an attempt to "libel" him when he had "political aspirations."
"I was faithful and loyal to my wife throughout our marriage," he said then. "I did arrange romantic getaways for us but that did not include the type of activities she describes. We did go to one avant-garde nightclub in Paris, which was more than either one of us felt comfortable with. We left and vowed never to return."

Then how did she know what was hanging from the ceiling?

    Sorry.

New Orleans is not a different country.

    Sex Clubs are illegal.

(In America. Especially 20 years ago.)

    There were no brochures.

(Edit. And Now I've read the post you slipped in there.)

    VINDICATED!

She willingly entered one, was tricked into another and outright refused another.

Tricking her like that was a kind of rape.

I was wrong about my speculative brochures (but sex clubs were legal in the US before AIDS, they were advertised on late night cable tv. And since I know one person who had her engagement party at a BDSM club in NYC about ten years ago I'm thinking they probably still are.)

It's an interesting read though. Maybe you've never gone somewhere because of goading and wanting to please someone and instantly regretted it.

There's a difference between illegal and unpolicable.

As long as prostitution is illegal, any monetary transaction resulting in sex turns a club house into a brothel. It's a fine line, but all it takes is one waitress giving a handjob during he smoke break and every one gets locked up.

Any hotel/motel is basically a sex club.

Rooms to rent where you have sex.

And it's legal only so long as management is not profiting from sex for money transactions, even if they're generating revenue from renting rooms.

A BDSM club would be fine and legal as long as there are rules about "no sex".

We've all done something we don't want to do "once".

Eh, to be fair to the Ryans, their deviant actions or lack thereof.... after Obama delivered the 04 keynote speech at the DNC he was the flavor of the moment even then. Couple that with the fact Illinois is a Democratic leaning state lately... Abe Lincoln's ghost probably wouldn't have beaten him. ;)

In theory Michelle and Barry are equally perverse, which could mean that they are not perverse at all, or the complete opposite, but the point is that they are equally matched and neither is going to run away in disgust crying after being asked to redefine their boundaries.

Jack and Jeri are not sexually compatible, and one or both of them was lying about who they were and what they wanted if they got through 8 years of marriage and 2 children before they figured that out.

    To be fair.

Jack saw pictures of Seven of Nine and assumed that they were like minded individuals.

To be fair... All sexual aspiration you have to bury your junk into Seven of Nine is misdirected lust which should be aimed squarely at the brain of Brannon Braga.

    Actresses are meat.

    They don't think.

They do what they're told and count their money.

When jeri Ryan isn't a piece of meat doing what she's told by a pervert, she's a real person with feelings and sensibilities (who was married to a pervert for far too long.).

Obama's pre-presidential political career is a study in good luck. When he ran for the State Senate his primary opponent was caught up in a sex scandal. He lost a race for US congress. Why is this good luck? A. It got him a lot of positive PR. B. Going to the House might well have made him a "back-bencher" for a long time. (The same thing happened, by the way, to the prior Democratic president, Bill Clinton, who lost a House race 2 yrs before being elected Governor.) Then the Ryan brouhaha. Then, as he seeks the Presidency, the economy implodes under the other party's watch.

This may explain why his presidency was so rocky. He'd used up enough good luck for two careers. But then, on the other hand, he was reelected with economic numbers that might have spelled a certain loss in other times, so go figure.

I watched all of Pepper Dennis earlier this week. An Ally McBeal wannabe from 2006 starring Rebecca Romjin. Half way through the archetypical slut character said that she wanted to be "kept" by a hot young Senator, but Barrak Obama was already married.

I don't know why people find politicians sexy. Terrible stuff, imagine having to listen to all that blather about meetings and whatever else they do. Yes people will say, "oh it's the power" but pfft.. if you want to fall in love with power you need a mafia boss or Khan Noonien Singh not a paper pusher.
