Will you look at that, the trailer!

Btw, after the trailer is over there's an additional preview for a James Bond game coming out this fall.

    Wow!

I'm really starting to believe this could end up being the best Bond film ever. You just get that vibe.

The game looks interesting too, although I don't know anything about it. It's called "Legends" and there supposedly six missions. Can I assume they intend to have one for each Bond?

It's a shame it didn't have the Bond riff in the background at any point, and it is just a collection of scenes of explosions and punching/shooting, but it's still nice to see. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the trailer proper.

Listen closely, it's really distorted, but the Bond theme is there. Especially when the Skyfall title is shown.

And it is a teaser after all, so random images is the name of the game. At least where Bond teasers are concerned, that is.

I'll have a better listen later, not the most conducine environment here :)

It's really very subtle during the beginning, then when the logo pops up it's really distorted like I said above.

    It's a very electronic sound.

Wonder if that's a hint of some of the score cues.

I for one wouldn't mind so much if it were. I'm one of the five people on Earth who liked the Goldeneye soundtrack.

I miss that choral version of the theme from the previous Craig trailers, but otherwise Hell to the Yes!

The description we got of what the trailer was going to be like (see a few pages back) seems to have been right on the button.

Looks brilliant. Craig looks more bad-ass than ever and from what I can see, Mendes has managed to keep the classic style of CR but with a degree of grit and modernity. Nice to see Fiennes in there with M, lending credence to some of the rumours about his character.

But no Bardem? Shame. Oh well. Looking forward to the longer instalments. And the movie itself.

Bardem *was* in there, in silhouette, for about three frames...

M- Some men, just want to watch the world burn.

BTW that's supposed to be Bardem's shadowy character.

    Yep, and that's
Skyfall itself that's burning in front of him. Or, more accurately, Skyfall Lodge.

Wow. I'm definitely looking forward to this now. I still hope they follow up on Quantum in another movie, but this one looks excellent.

Teaser trailer looks excellent. Really hoping that the whole "Country?" "England" thing means the film will have a deeper thematic concern with the ideas of patriotism and nationalism, and how those relate to the sort of violence that marks Bond's world. Casino Royale was really good at exploring that world of covert violence and how it consumes people, but Quantum of Solace didn't really follow up on that, I felt.

I hope Quantum continues to be the Craig-era villain organization, yeah. Especially in this age of class conflict, I suspect a James Bond movie featuring a cabal of rich plutocrats who seek to subvert the world's democracies for their wealth would resonate with many people.

(Not gonna lie: Before seeing Quantum of Solace, I was hoping that the then-unnamed organization that had killed Le Chiffre would turn out to be SPECTRE.)
