This isn't wood. it's Invisible Wood filled in with a polymer.

 

It's wood filled with a polymer that makes it translucent. "Invisible wood" is just a name for it. The articles don't really address whether wood treated this way is any more or less flammable.

 

Still, after centuries of talking about it, finally someone has done the work of making a forest you can't see for the trees no matter what.
