Ok, are we all now convinced he's not Khan?

I'm starting to think this guy is a Klingon. Kor or Kang in disguise. But I think he might just really be John Harrison, disenfranchised Starfleet officer...

I've read in three articles (two in different British Sci-fi magazines) where John Harrison is referred to as a former Starfleet "employee."

Not to be confrontational, but what have you seen that make you think he was an officer. Just wondering.

    :)

Impossible, since Section 31 is rogue to begin with. Now, it's possible he's from Starfleet Intelligence gone rogue.

It's grounded in the Starfleet charter, though, isn't it? 'Autonomous' isn't the same as 'rogue'.

Section 31 is a criminal organization that derives its name from the Starfleet charter. They are not in any way an official agency of Starfleet or the Federation.

As someone else mentioned in another thread, Weller / Marcus could just be referring to Noel Clarke's character who carried out the bombing. Editing can be used to trick you.

For all we know, the follow-up line might be "Who could possibly yield that kind of influence over one of our own loyal employees?"

Well, we already know S31 don't mind recruiting augments. It's not impossible it's both.

Of course they're not official, they're unacknowledged. Like in Mission: Impossible - If you are caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

They seem to have access to a buttload of Starfleet info, resources and personnel, don't they?

No. How could anyone possibly rule out Khan at this juncture?

    Yep to everything there.

Besides, "one our top agents" could still refer to Khan by any number of ways.

For example, given everything we know right now, maybe Khan was recruited from deep-freeze, and the crime was killing off some or even all of the remaining supermen while they slept.

It still could be Khan. He's an agent meaning he likely has a fake name to begin with. He can kick the shit out of Vulcans and Klingons. He could have been found in deep space and trained to be an agent due to his physical abilities. He could have used his superior intellect to get his way into starfleet intelligence so he could bring it down.

The "agent" line refers to Noel Clarke's character.

Could be, but the report on the first 28 minutes shown in Brazil says, or at least the translation says
there are pictures of Harrison at the site of the bombing. If the translation is at all accurate, Weller could be referring to Harrison as the agent. A further report from that screening says Weller identifies Harrison and says he's been carrying out a one-man war against Starfleet for God knows what reason. They are to find Harrison and kill "the bastard." Weller says it's a manhunt, pure and simple.

Guess we find out everything soon enough.

It's Admiral Archer's son Jackson out for revenge after Scotty killed Porthos IV.

Yup more convinced than ever he is Khan
More convinced than ever that either Marcus and or April discovered Khan in this timeline and thought they could train him somehow to do their zero dark thirty ops work (likely he was told that his people had died but finds out certain people in starfleet (likely Marcus) had the rest hidden in stasis tubes)
That the ship crashing into the bay Aprils original Enterprise which is being used as Khans capital ship (pretty easy for Marcus to give Khan his old ship if it was presumed lost or destroyed)

He's Porthos, Scotty beaming him transformed him into a super-strong and intelligent human. He's mad because Archer has passed away and no one else knows how to scratch behind his ears the way he likes.

I'm intrigued by the thought that he might be an android...

Not saying he is..., but would be a first for the movies since Ilia.

Yeah, there have been no androids in Trek movies since Ilia.

    Except one or two...
