"You got a problem with prayer??"
"No, ma'am, Mrs. F. In fact, I'm prayin' you'll come over here and let me light your next cigarette for ya."
"You'll need to be faster with that lighter honey."
*Possum heroically throws herself on dangerously high lighter flame before KM's hairspray and/or flammable looking jacket can ignite*
ETA: Ah, I remember back in the day when my friends and I thought it was funny to crank up each other's lighters like that when the owner wasn't looking. LOLlolLOL. It doesn't seem all that funny in retrospect, though.
I remember the "this guy's lighter just EXPLODED one day.. " urban legend, haha.
Yeah, why IS that flame so high, lol? I never smoked, but we used to do the same thing with our lighters so we could have more flame to make fireballs.
Perhaps. I still have a scar on my hand, though, from using one to light a firecracker - a spark kicked back in it and it turned into a flamethrower. Luckily, other sparks had already been shooting around and scared me so I was actually in the act of dropping the lighter at the time.
I was sober, too!
I am so deathly afraid of fire I could never ever touch a lighter. I still can't. And stupid hubby o' mine like to get the barbeque lighter and hold it close to me. It drives me insane.
I found a picture of Kate smoking from way way way long ago.
Oooo I've never seen that one mair!!
The powers of Google Images. Just searched Kate Mulgrew smoking and it was on the first page, along with all of the ones you have posted
My smoking folder has 38 pics, hahaha
And apparently she does smoke heavily. Her skin looks great though.
I know, right?
Or she used to, she did quit smoking back in '98 for Scientific Method so her irritability would seem genuine as Janeway. Idk if she fell off the wagon though. It's different when you're smoking for roles.
I think it has been reported from cons that she smokes. That's great, I did not know that about Scientific Method!!
I think I found that on memory alpha(all hail the great wiki)
And then found that it was true from her interview with Tom Snyder.
But idk if it's true that it was for Scientific Method, that was just the episode I found it on.
Still one of the best episodes ever.
Despite smoking all her life Janeway always had beautiful skin..
It is true that it was for "Scientific Method". Admiral Hawthorne told me so. And the Admiral knows everything there is to know about KM.
Anyway, it made me love her performance in that ep even more, which I didn't think was possible.
And. Her lovely white teeth are what astonish me.
I wonder if she rubs strawberries on her teeth . . . . Hmmmmm . . . .
And was I the only one to notice that Admiral Janeway looked younger than everyone else and may have only aged like three years while the rest aged like forty?
That's what inner beauty does for you. And being a BAMF.
