Mothra and Killer Moth
Make it King Ghidorah. Mothra's usually a heroic kaiju, or a morally neutral force of nature, or a couple of times a mind-controlled weapon of aliens, but never outright evil. King Ghidorah, on the other hand, is the top recurring villain of the franchise, almost always portrayed as the most malevolent of all kaiju (with just one exception). So he's the "Joker" of the franchise. (Or maybe its Red Skull or Baron von Strucker, since his name is a Japanese approximation of "King Hydra.")
Well, I only chose Mothra because it was the first name that popped in my head, but yeah, if King Ghidorah is the more likely contender to join forces with the Joker against Batman and Godzilla than I know what movie I want to see in 2017 or whenever.
Merciful Mogg! What have I started?!
New TV Spot:
And a couple of screencaps from the spot:
Is that a monster in the first screencap? It looks more technological than organic. Its jaws look like a staple remover.
It's the MUTO, at least the smaller one:
There are better images in this photostream:
Another TV Spot. Not much new here, though I'm expecting to see Godzilla's foot in the next one:
Damn. I didn't even think to compare its jaws to a staple remover.
eh? you see Godzilla's foot in that one
I could never really like that design for Godzilla. Looks like one of those hideously outdated ideas about dinosaurs with that upright pose.
Godzilla sure gets around - somewhere in Asia, to San Francisco (I think), to Vegas...
^We don't know it's Godzilla himself that attacks Las Vegas. It might be one of the other monsters.
That's his arm and hand, his legs are bulkier and his feet are stubbier:
GIF from the trailer:
Seems to be a new one each day:
And some more, apparently the marketing has started:
well, we definitely saw his foot in that one.
And some leg action too: https://31.media.tumblr.com/2b6eb7031fa4aebf48b5932732d39b19/tumblr_n3hlos4Vqb1rl1vlfo2_1280.gif
That reads as though Godzilla's taken up pole dancing!
The image that sentence put in my head!
Separate names with a comma.
