Eu não concordo com o que você disse, mas eu estou disposto a lutar até a morte para a capacidade de dizer isso.

    Nam-tor danik t'aifa kesayalar maut ka'ler've. Fai-tor nash-veh ra tar-tor - hi ri ra tvai.

Most of these responses are very confusing. I know what they say, but not what they mean.

Mine was Klingon for "What is this?" Pretty straight forward, I should think, and indeed you answered it.

    Ha - vesht ken-tor n't'du - fai-tor nash-veh ein Tlingansu. Hi ein t'vathlar --- ri ken-tor n'zehl'es.

I did understand yours - I know a bit of Klingon. But some of the others... I do not understand the relevance.

Welcome on behalf of the Romulan Star Empire. It would be better, I think, if conversation was conducted in Federation Standard. Not all gentlebeings know Vulcan.

Look, folks, it's pretty obvious that T-Laina is looking for others who know Vulcan and might want to practise it here in this thread. (It would be nice if those who did provided translations of their posts for those of us who don't know the language). So, please stop spamming up her thread with mostly nonsensical posts in other languages. If you don't have any interest in the thread that's ok but don't spam it up.

I wasn't aware that there was a "real" Vulcan language. (Not like Klingon, which actually does have a complete set of vocabulary and grammar rules, courtesy of Marc Okrand.)

I know that the Vulcan words spoken in TMP and TWOK were invented by James Doohan, with the lines originally recorded in English and Doohan writing Vulcan words that matched the actors' lip movements. But it's still basically gibberish, isn't it?

As far as I know, some fans created a Vulcan language (or at least part of it) from the few things seen and heard on the shows and movies. There are some sites on the net about it. I'm not sure whether anyone could really converse in it. Maybe T-Laina can expand on that.

But whatever you may think about the language or the project it's quite impolite to spam up someone else's thread, especially if they're still new to the board.

On the one hand, of course we want to be welcoming to new members, and what better place to discuss Vulcan language than TrekBBS? On the other hand, starting a thread by posting in "Vulcan" is off-putting - it's just gibberish to the rest of us.

I guess she thought there would be more people who could understand what she wrote.

I know of no offical Vulcan and old High Vulcan language. How many fan ones are there and how prevalent are they?
