Yeast of Eden
I'd love to wear a miniskirt, but I have knobby knees.
Don't fret it, just wear it and be happy. Show off those legs.
Well... they do go on forever.
I like men in skirts/kilts/sarongs etc! Long flowing garb often hides little flaws (and they make your legs look longer). Very contrary to those horrible baggy pants that make the wearer look utterly foolish at best and severely crippled at worst.
I actually agree with the gist of 2takesfrakes' post. You can't see your backside in a mirror (unless you are a contortionist). That's why we women like to take friends or SOs with us when we go shopping.
Frankly, I have never understood the concept of "white lies". I much prefer absolute honesty. If a dress or a pair of trousers doesn't suit me I'd rather have my SO tell me (which might hurt for 10 minutes) than have people giggle and whisper behind my back (which hurts far worse and far longer).
What's so bad about a guy telling a woman: "This outfit is a bit unflattering. How about trying another?" I dare say that most of us female posters here would appreciate such a considerate comment, particularly if it was worded diplomatically!
I don't think it's the "being honest" bit people are taking exception to.
Geico should forget about insurance and just do comedy full time.
Yeah, because the part about saving 15% or more is their biggest joke of all.
Really? I don't know anything about them beyond their commercials. I use AAA and I get a fantastic rate, so I have no interest in changing.
