This might seem like it's coming out of nowhere, but I am actually considering quitting Voyager. Even though my scores have gone up I just don't feel excited when I sit down to watch it. I feel like I could be doing better things with my time. I haven't made up my mind yet, but it's 50/50 whether I choose to stay with it or not right now. Thoughts?

It seems like you're getting a bit burned out by the repetitive episodic nature of the season 5-7 era.....personally I'd like you to keep watching it but if you feel like its time for a break then go for it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder as they say. So maybe if you take a good break from it, you can get to the point where you'll actually look forward to watching it again.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.

    Did you say "over"?

Nothing's over until we decide it is!

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

    Hell, no!

    And it ain't over now.

'Cause when the going gets tough...

the tough get going! Who's with me?

Yeah, the repetition of the show is grinding my gears. There's hardly any originality here.

And that's a good idea. Since it's on Netflix I could always revisit it later on if I felt like it. I'll have to see how I feel over the next several days before I make my decision.

but this is going to effect your scores.

The grind is a natural component we all had to deal with, even if not in such a condensed fashion as you are.

When you see some fat fuck pushing/walking a bicycle up a hill, don't you just want to slow your car down and throw things at them?

You didn't do this for fun.

I see your endeavor hear as 60 percent science experiment and 40 percent tortureporn selfmutilation.

You have to get over the hump.

    Break though the wall.

If you take a year or two off now, three years off...

There's going to be no fricking sense of reward when you spit on your TV set as the credits roll on Endgame.

I don't mean to be rude (this time) but you were delusional if you thought that this was going to be an enjoyable experience.

The first guy to do a marathon in ancient Greece, his heart blew up.

What you should notice, that although it's harder to find highs from the good episodes, it also harder to find lows with the bad episodes because you have engineered a workspce in your brain to proccess this porogramming with such efficiencey, it doesn't even touch the sides.

Like a champion gold medal winning hotdog eater.

Remember at the beginning of the thread when I used the word "callused" and you all thought I was mad?

It's like you have 3/4's of a tattoo!

Ihe chinese symbol for "I can't be arsed!"

    You can doooooooooo it.

You can dooooooooo it alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll night long.

I think they meant to bring them back if Voyagers ratings had been as high as Paramount wanted them to be but because they weren't, I assume they freaked and used the Borg much more instead. they were already proven to grab an audience due to their numbers based on Scorpion and "First Contact", so they fell back on an old stand by instead of taking that risk on something new. I guess when the budget is at stake, a risk is too risky.

I think going back over the show, when you get to great eps. like this that are incredibly open ended to a fault, it just shows that the troubles behind the camera were starting to affect what was going on in front of it and that's not good.

You're on the home stretch, why would you quit now?

Plus, you're fast approaching my favorite episode, and I want to know what your score is.

There are some really fantastic episodes ahead in season 6 to be fair.

I'm still uncertain, but I think now I'm leaning a little towards continuing with the show. My girlfriend dumped me, so it looks like I'll have some extra time to kill for awhile. Voyager's been saved......for now.

Thanks, everyone. It's difficult to cope with, but I'm trying to stay positive and things are improving. Maybe Voyager will improve too. :)

Easier said than done. When I'm feeling terrible I can't give TV the focus it needs in order for it to be enjoyable. I wish I could, but it just isn't the way I am.

I appreciate the support though. :)

You're young, and she wasn't worth it. Move on!

Shoot, I'm barely older than you, and I'm just now starting to realize what life has to offer when you're not anchored down by a battle-ax! They're fun to look at, though.

Nick Cage sold his milti million dollar comic book collection to keep his wife.

The kings daughter didn't want the money, she just thought that it was childish.

    She still left him.
