Christina Amphlett was beyond awesome. An extraordinary talent and a genuine trailblazer. And incredible onstage.

    Requiescat in pace. :(

And yes, fuck cancer, and fuck MS right along with it.

Yeah, I posted a thread in Misc, and wondered about one in here.

Complete legend. Complete talent. Too much. Too soon.

What a shame, it is sad to hear of her last days and going out like that. Her song was catchy and really defined 1991. I was thinking about it just yesterday.

I liked this quote from the article...

    Song? Nononononononono. Songs.

I'll put one up here, but go to YouTube and check out

    Boys In Town
    Only Lonely
    I'll Make You Happy
    Pleasure And Pain
    I Touch Myself
Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore (personal favourite)

    plus many others.

I put this one here because, as I said in the Misc thread, in May 2001, the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA), as part of its 75th Anniversary celebrations, named it as one of the Top 30 Australian songs of all time, and it's entirely appropriate for a Star Trek forum:

"Elsie" and "Siren" were always my favourites.

"I Touch Myself" isn't bad but the idea it's the band's only song and that they were a one-hit wonder is...well, inaccurate.
