Seeing your work and your interpretations, I was thinking you could do some great things with the Horizon, the Tritium, the Baton Rouge (if you're familiar with those).

Those SFC ships seem to be amenable to your TOS stylings.

Actually, when I suggested to use interconnections similar to the neck of most contemporary ships, I meant that it should have slanted angles, similar to how the Federation class's third nacelle mounting.

I'm liking what I'm seeing here; like Kaiser said, the bent pylons are a nice touch to distinguish her from the Federation class. I'd still make the forward and aft angles for the third nacelle pylon similar to the Federation's. Otherwise, you have an excellent start here too.

@JES - Thanks :) I will however keep these versions with perpendicular or non-angled pylons as it's another design cue that reminds me of the TOS Enterprise. When viewed as a silhouette it makes it easier for me to pick out something TOS-like vs a later movie build with the angled back warp pylons.

@SchwEnt - Hmm, I'll google Horizon, the Tritium, the Baton Rouge and take a look...

edit - after looking these models over, I probably won't try anything with those, at least not until I get a better feel of what pre-TOS looks like (and I'm not thinking the Enterprise TV series.)

I kinda like that... but it could still use a hangar deck...

I agree with the hangar deck. I plan to add one to the Scout and the Destroyer as they're missing one. I'm thinking of a hangar bay with a bottom hatch on the side of the primary hull or lifting the idea of the cool "hangar deck behind the bridge" design that I've seen in Forbin's models.

Flight II of the TOS Scout with a flight deck behind the bridge.

I'll keep the earlier versions with a hangar deck in the primary hull with bomb bay style doors.

*The shuttle in the pic is a 30' shuttle.

I like what you did with the shuttlebays on the reliant-style ship.

    Thanks guys.

Now a couple of renders of a TOS Destroyer concept from last year based off of the Jester-class as built by Forbin.

Flight I has the flight deck in the primary hull with bomb bay-style doors (not modeled yet).

Flight II has the flight deck module added to behind the bridge.

Good chart and Nice Destroyer type ship :) :techman:

Note: Jester class model was done by Forbin but the design was created by Mastercom Data Center or Jackill in the 90's :)

Funny, I started this model back in 2009 but only got around to building out the main sensor dish :D

and a version of the Enterprise as seen in the computer displays from "The Enterprise Incident" that I'm calling the "Pre-Pike" version since Captain Pike's Enterprise doesn't have the beveled edged primary hull or the bulged in the middle engineering hull.

and lastly, an update to the TOS Starships fleet...

It's the same image that appears in Whitfield's "Making of Star Trek" (along with the Klingon ship) and appeared upon the earlier (side) box art for the AMT 18" model kit.

    Sincerely,

    Bill
