    Hey,

Why don't we take turns posting some of the great lines from Star Trek's history ? Don't forget to mention which character and which movie or episode and series the quote is from.

    I'll go first:

I've done far worse than kill you, Admiral. I've hurt you. And I wish to go on hurting you. I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her; marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet... buried alive! - Khan, TWOK

"Mr. Spock, the women on your planet are logical....That's the only planet in the galaxy that can make that claim."

You left out the most quoteworthy part:

Always my favorite, from Bones: "In this galaxy, there's a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that and perhaps more, only one of each of us. Don't destroy the one named Kirk."

You beat me to it. This is my favorite line in all of Trek. As a gay teen contemplating suicide in the mid-1970s, it spoke to me as nothing else ever has.

How about some of Picard's sage advice. ;)

"Damn it Bones, you're a doctor. You know that pain and guilt can't be taken away with the wave of a magic wand. They're the things we carry with us, the things that make us who we are. If we lose them, we lose ourselves. I don't want my pain taken away. I need my pain."

    I really do not know . . .

I think that's wonderful - just shows how important Star Trek has been . . . still is I'd say.
I'm very glad you made it through and are still here.

And some people say there's no quality to Star Trek. But I've found often that those people are the same who tend to demean others.

"What am I a doctor or a moon shuttle conductor? If I jumped everytime a light came on around here, I'd end up talking to myself." -- To which McCoy is doing just that; talking to himself.
