No the reboot was perfect - this is what Caprica should've been.

The reboot was the most perfect thing ever.

Saw the first couple "episodes" of this. Not bad, but not much to comment on.

I dislike the absolutely excessive use of lens flare and general distortion of the images. I get that that's inevitable because this is a CGI show, but damn, they could at least try not to make it look so cheap and artificial.

The external CG shots were great, it's just the interior CG shots with people in the foreground that look ridiculous.

Curious where the story is going. They've got a nice little mystery set up.

    True.

This isn't half the show that nuBSG was, even in the first twenty minutes. It's good, though.

I just like being in the same universe. I'm hoping they tone down the sky jock attitude on Adama's part.

Well, let me clarify; Caprica was fine for what it tried to be, but it's not what I would've wanted for a prequel to an action series.

I would've preferred a first Cylon war story. It doesn't have to be all action and space battles all the time, but some threat other than petty family squabbling and teenage-angst-in-a-robots-body.

Hell the first season could've been a build up to the war.

Don't worry, when he's holding the splattered remains of Cocker's brain in his hands at the end of the movie, he'll become the cool and calculating Adama we all know and love.

I'm curious how different the "Unrated DVD version" will be. I'm assuming the sound effects covering up the swearing will be gone. I'm wonder if anything else will be different? They did include some nudity and stuff like that in The Plan and the Caprica pilot, so they apparently aren't afraid to go towards more R-rated material in the DVDs.

The shower scene from ep 2 will likely show more tits and bums on the DVD.

He's 22 now so how old was he when B&C was filmed? How long has it been in the vault?

That young and he expects to get a viper as soon as he shows up. What a snot.

He would've turned 21 right around the time they started filming.

Don't know how old he is "supposed" to be in the show, though.

The final episode of Caprica showed Bill to be 2-3 years old? That was 15-16 years prior to B&C.

I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline, to be honest. I thought it was established that Adama joined "late in the war," so somehow he has to go from being this green hotshot to the somewhat grizzled vet we saw in Razor (at the very end of the war) in a relatively short period of time. I'm unclear on just how long the war was supposed to be, and how much of it was left by the time Adama joined.
