The end was so stupid, when the camera zoomed in on Adama's face and he goes "OH NO THIS EARTH IS SHITTY TOO" What now, Earth 3? Bleeech.

It reminded me of that Hitchhiker's Guide bit. "I'm trying to teach the cavemen to play Scrabble. It's uphill work. The only word they know is UHHH and they don't know how to spell it." :p

Excellent. That was actually pretty good. The way they brought back Roslin and Racetrack was really clever, and I'm glad we didn't have to wait 2 years for an explanation. Guess Moore learned his lesson.

Oh, and whatsherface was really hot. I hope we see more of her.
    It was definately Starbuck.

Looks like it. They have to justify keeping the show's title.

    Excellent as always.
Except the previews for next week where they revealed the return of Anders.

    Spoilers ahead!

In a few weeks, Roslin will rise from the grave as Zombie Roslin. Humanity will face a new threat... the threat of the undead!

Meanwhile, Hoshi and his group arrive at a large island off the coast of Gibraltar and found a new city there. He calls the city Atlantis, and he encourages the slave-natives to call him Poseidon.

I thought the alien squid was a particularly nice touch.

Agreed. I thought it was a thought-provoking representation of mankind's inner struggle to overcome alien squid. RDM is a true genius.

The hack stole it from Alan Moore... come on! You know, I had faith in the man with last week's episode but this New Earth storyline is turning into one big waste of... filler.

Then's that whole telegraphing that Roslin will be resurrected like Starbuck. What does that make her? I can't take anymore mystic mumbo jumbo.

The Centurions off in space will encounter a reptilian race.

These reptilians will become inspired by the Centurions, and they will start to call themselves Cylons. Eventually, they will build their own machines...

And the cycle will start again...

I only have one question. What the hell was up with William Shatner's cameo?

Truly worst part was he still found a way for his shirt to be torn and fall off.

I think I'm gonna be sick.

I guess he's the God that has a plan or some such mystical nonsense. But you know RDM, no direct answers.

What was the significance of Ellen rubbing herself up and down again that tree well Tigh's pervy one eye nearly popped out of his skull? Did I miss something?

The part with Adama sleeping in the fully built cabin turning out to be a dream sequence? Lame. Looks like he's going to be building it all season.

It was so obvious a metaphor for giving Tigh a woody.

Only to be blown up in the season finale by the returning Centurions.

And I guess Romo is still the President while Lee is off climbing mountains and stuff. But I thought they spread out, so why do they need a president still.

You seriously want Adama to pull a cabin out of his ass in the first episode?

I'm immune to dream sequences on this show by now. After Tigh shooting Adama and the mutineers shooting Adama, it's not surprising. I fully expect Adama's cabin to shoot Adama next week. :borg:

Excellent. Those of you complaining about how this episode "didn't advance the plot," I am really sick of hearing this kind of whining. This show is about the characters, and it always has been. Lee having to go from being the President to being the de facto mayor of a farming village is such an interesting transformation for his character. In some ways, he has less responsibility... yet, in other ways, he has even more.

That entire act of Adama making mud bricks for his cabin was inspired. They were technically accurate, too. I hope it doesn't take all season to get it built, though it's very much like RDM to drag it out like that.

Was it just me, or was that some kind of exo-suit towards the end? I swear it looked like it had Cavil's face, too.

Well I had to go with an average. It was like the episode was written by fanboys.

Where the hell is Ron Moore? Don't you care anymore?
