Is it a Batman movie? Is it a Man or Steel sequel? No, it's Superman squaring off against the caped crusader in the most anticipated and heavily marketed movie since Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Summer has come early so get your tickets and get ready. The first screening is on March 19th, so reviews and spoilers should start rolling soon, then it opens worldwide starting on the 23rd.

^ Reactions are extremely positive so far and as expected, many are saying that Affleck is their favorite Batman.

At least one person here should be attending a premiere screening, so let us know if there's a post-credit scene.

I hate when people say "Called it!" buuuuut, way back when Affleck was first announced and people were gettin' all crazy riled up over it, I predicted he'd be a favorite part of it when the film eventually surfaced. :)

I find it hard to believe that Affleck could be anyones favourite anything, but I'll try and prize my mind open and give this a fair viewing...

If the film is anything like this, I will be thrilled. :)

That is legitimately the best trailer I've seen for the movie.

Affleck has been in some great movies lately like Argo and Gone Girl (I haven't seen it but I heard he was good in it). This isn't the Affleck we saw in Gigli so I'm willing to give him a chance. He might even be more understandable than Bale's Batman, which has not aged well. I think my favorite is still Keaton's Batman but that might be more nostalgic reasons.

Have to agree with Karzak. It's cheesy and it's dated thanks to the Schumacher theme. That's not the kind of movie I want to see in 2016.

Bale did a fantastic Bruce Wayne but he wasn't the best Batman. Busy costume, odd voice, lack of skilled fighting style, etc. That's why Keaton edged out Bale for me as well. I did love the Nolan films and their naturalistic style though, so I wasn't too keen on a return to a more comic booky tone but I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. With Affleck it looks like we're getting pretty much everything most of us like to see in Batman and they seem to be doing it without giving up on the naturalistic tone that's still popular. We're getting a good balance. I never had a problem with Affleck the actor but I did wonder if the fact that it was him would be a distraction. It isn't. Not really. He does fit the image quite well and he's gone even further to immerse himself into the part.

Haven't seen Argo but I did like Gone Girl, by the way.

I'm curious exactly what the relationship between Diana Prince and Bruce Wayne will be. I noticed the other day that almost all of the clips we've seen of Diana not in the Wonder Woman costume, she's with Bruce.

I saw an early screening last night. I thought it was terrible but then again I really hated practically everything about the Man of Steel. However, if you liked that, I imagine that you might like this trainwreck, too.

I don't want to go into any in-depth details since it's still not fully released, but I will say Wonder Woman was, without question, the best part of the movie. I'm very much looking forward to her film now, far more than I originally was (which was quite a lot to begin with).

^ Pretty much what Christopher implied. I've been following the movie's development and I never picked up on anything that suggested that Wonder Woman would be a standout.

Schmacher theme or not, it made the heroes seem heroic, and not just grim vigilantes. There was also no talk of bleeding, and I actually believed for a second that Batman and Superman were superheroes who might actually fight crime and not try to murder each other. It was a more hopeful trailer, and a movie I'd much rather see then the film we're getting.

Comic Book Resources posted a video a YouTube channel called Burger Fiction put together that show almost every version of Batman from live action and animated movies and TV shows starting with the old serials, and going all the way up the the last couple direct to video animated movies and BvS.
It seemed a little weird to me that they included Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League and the DCU movies, but only one of the Superfriends era animated versions, and none of the LEGO DC Superheroes direct to video/TV movies.

A negative review from CBR..

Despite showering Gal Gadot with nothing but praise, the review ends with...
"Overambitious and overlong, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" aims to tell a collection of stories instead of focusing on one. In doing so, it underserves its classic characters, undercuts its battle scenes, and disrespects the audience who has been waiting decades to see this epic showdown on the big screen."

And a positive review from Newsarama...

Despite enjoying the movie, the reviewer nevertheless ends his review with a paragraph that begins...
"Yes, like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman is serious, grandiose, and self-important, and certainly not for kids."

...which isn't a point in its favor in my opinion.

Making a film centric world for fanboys and not for kids. It's an interesting way to generate a new base of interests for the DC product.
