Discussion in 'Star Trek Movies: Kelvin Universe' started by slappy, Apr 13, 2009.
It's all gone, Timeline and Cannon - Gone.
Assuming there will be additional movies, Paramount has made a profit with every Trek movie, just pretend every Trek TV episode and movie are all individual and unrelated.
The Old Timeline - Harold
The New Timeline - Carl
* The Main Timeline
I assume that a few people will call them "Real Trek" and "Fake Trek".
(The question is: Which is which?)
We could start numbering Star Trek's alternate timelines (there have already been quite a lot, just have a look and check) like Marvel Comics' alternate universes... Federation-1 up to God knows what.
[But that's a job for the Trek historians and retconners...]

Seriously, thats a mind bendingly insanely wibbly wobbly timey wimey way to look at it.
I love it.
Howabout: Alternate 1985...
sorry, Back to the future on Easter Bank holiday mondays, its the norm, i got so used to watching it it started to take over my life, some bank hollidays i even crack open the dvd set just to make me happy.
Im up for:
TOS = FAMUAT: Future Alternate Mirror Universe According to Aragorn.
NuTrek would become THASNSSB: Trek Has A Soul Now So Stop Bitching.
EDIT: Damn, Ensign Ricky beat me to it. just realised.
Me too. It totally works for putting the OT and the NT in proper perspective.
Trekverse = Landru
Abramsverse = Not of the body...
The Bright Mirror Universe... unless by some unlikely happenstance this movie turns out to be a POS. In the case of the latter, then it'll be called the BM universe.
"oldTrek" and "nuTrek" is what I'll use.
"Trek-That-Was" is cute, but both too cute and clumsy.
For the Win!
I like what I've read in other threads.
TOT = The Original Timeline
NUT = Nu Timeline
LoL... you know what that can be turned into? Tits and Nuts... hehe
Although I also like that "nuStar Trek" or "nuTrek" that I've been seeing too.
STINO = Star Trek In Name Only
TITS = The Initial Timeline Stream
NUTS = Nu Timeline Stream
That could work!
I think we all decided on that anyways?
Old Timeline =OT
New Timeline = NT
Both work for me.
This is how I see it...
ENT = Enterprise (in a class all by itself, & you can interpret that anyway you want.)
TOS = Classic Trek
TNG = The Next Generation (obviously, TNG/DS9/VOY)
NuTrek = 2009 On. (Till somebody changes things again... )
Separate names with a comma.
