Claire Danes and Damian Lewis won the leading acting Emmys for Homeland. Looks like this is going to be the next big show to watch out for in the next few years.

They still have a bunch of Miniseries or Movie acting awards to give out. I can see them padding it out if they see they are going too quickly.

It is much more likely that the show will overrun than finish quickly.

I've heard good things about the show but does it really have the premise that can go on for several seasons?

I really do need to watch the show.

LOL @ Claire Danes looking manic backstage.

Love Ricky Gervais and his whole schtick.

Some of these awards seem like Congress legislating their own pay raises.

    Isn't her Homeland character bipolar?

I can't stand her. Never have liked her, never will.

You know, when I see Tom Berenger I'm always reminded of that Simpsons episode where Skinner is going out with Krapabbel and he's taking Bart along with him to a late night movie because Bart knows about the relationship and is a go between with the two. Bart complains and Skinner snaps "Enough. This movie has Tom Berenger in it."

Had to go in to work, missed most of it. Sucks that Breaking Bad lost, but Homeland certainly is an excellent series. I can't complain that a bad show won by any means. Riveting storyline and Damien Lewis certainly doesn't suck as a lead actor by any means.

Now that I can applaud. Season 4--Jesse's grief and acting out over killing Gale was exceptional work. Just exceptional. Aaron Paul has quietly turned into one hell of an actor. That young man is talented to his core. I do hope it's true that he's still wanted as the lead for HBO's proposed series about a spy during the early Cold War era. I'm convinced this guy is as talented as Cranston.

Awesome news about Aaron Paul! He is an awesome actor, and although I would have voted for Giancarlo Esposito this time, I can't fault the Emmys this time around. However, on the issue of best lead actor and best drama, Breaking Bad got robbed!!! WTF! Homeland? Really? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Homeland's an excellent series. I wanted Breaking Bad to win big time, but I can't argue too much with Homeland. It's quite riveting in its own way.
