Two thousand and nine. Twenty-oh-nine is just silly.

No, but "Twenty-oh-nine" just doesn't sound right to me. "Two-thousand-and-nine" rolls off the tongue nicely for me.

Didn't we just have a thread like this?

Oh and it's none of the above. It's just "oh-nine".

We did. Not even a week ago. It was about 2010, but the same basic concept.

This.

Come next year, (as I stated in my thread on this topic) 2010 will be known by me as "twenty-ten"

Re: What year is it?

Twenty oh nine sounds like a line from the opening narration to a crappy made-for tv science fiction movie from the 80s.

That being said, I prefer twenty-ten over two-thousand ten.

Right on!

And since Gary and I both agree, it's the truth, and the only answer.
