I want to play the greatest video game ever: the c64 version.. with the original sounds... speed adjustment abilities, and level editor.

Can anyone point me to the right place?

VICE would be my choice.

I'm more of an Atari bigot myself, but I agree that Loderunner was a great game.

Although, IMO, M.U.L.E. is GOD!

I wish i understood that vice site.

Why is it so hard to play a game that takes less than 2K

FSM, do you have an iPhone? There's a version of Lode Runner for that.

I played the NES game. It was fun, but the scrolling was annoying.

yes I do. I'll look it up.. but what I'm saying is that there's nothing like the old C64 version.. with a level editor, speed controls and the simplest graphics ever.

This is the closest that I've seen

Link

It looks and mostly feels exactly the same, even the sounds are right. But it's obviously someone recreating the game (the ladders are wider, the characters seem to skate than run, and digging mechanic is too loose, you can dig more than one hole at a time.)

Id still love the original version
