Max Payne fans are awesome.

With the coming release of MP3(although the non-NYC setting hasn't sold me yet) to make up for that god-awful movie(I swear they didn't even play the damn game), some fans have tried to rectify the suckiness of the film with a fan series of their own. It may be a small, cult following but Max Payne fans are fucking nuts. And I mean that in the good way. Ask any one of them, and they'll tell you that MP2 is the Citizen Kane of video games. And many would be hard pressed to disagree. There is still a sizable modding community dedicated to MP2. So if anyone deserves credit for getting more MP content out there, it's them. It's fan made, so I don't expect anything high quality. That being said, it will still probably be better then the movie was. Max Payne writer/creator Sam Lake has given them his blessing, so that's a good sign.

I've only played the first one but Max Payne with the Kung-fu mod was damn good fun and damn good to watch. All kung-fu should be in slow motion...
