Re: What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Last night...my parents came home from their vacation and took my brother and I out to dinner at Montana's. I had a Grilled Steak Sandwich with a glass of Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, both were great.

Corned beef hash (with added chili) and rice. The best.

A packet of Thai sweet chicken crisps... I fancied something salty.

Last night's dinner: Amaretto sours, mojitos, caipirinhas, lots of valpolicella ripasso, brandy, rum & coke. And I think there was some tasty Thai food in there somewhere too. I think.

You were still standing?

That's not dinner, that's a liquor shop...

I went to Pick Up Stix and got Buddha's Feast ( veggies and brown rice) I also had some garlic chicken, but it wasn't quite as good. Later I had some pizza as well.

Barely.

A friend and I are both changing jobs next week so it was our leaving do. Plus we got an early start before the others arrived - she introduced me to amaretto sours, and later I introduced her to valpolicella ripasso. So we both made a couple of very welcome new acquaintances.

We ended up sloshed enough to need to book into a hotel overnight for fear of navigating the public transport system in our sadly deteriorated states.

(having just typed that, and knowing exactly how this board thinks, I feel ethically obliged to point out we got separate rooms. Get your minds out of the gutter, people. )

I was just going through some of the photos. Honestly, in several you can almost see the alcoholic haze around us... and no, the photos are not going to be uploaded to the picture thread.

She's happily married.

And in any case, with that amount of alcohol, systems would definitely have malfunctioned.

Last night I had leftover pizza that I picked up on Tuesday. I'll probably have it again tonight. I really should have thrown it out by now, but I'm on a budget and not one to waste food. Besides, I picked it up at the place next door to me, which I went into on a whim, and got it for 60% off because someone had cancelled their order! I think fate would slap me if I tossed it now!

Oh, and I also had some microwaved veggies with it, to add some nutritional value.

Only cure for that is thorough, vigorous, sweat-inducing exercise, just work it off... then if anything spins, you won't notice.
