Survivor DVDs: Worst Designed Packaging Ever?

The DVD packaging tells us who wins. What genius came up with that marketing strategy?

Well considering survivor fans will be the likely consumer I don't see how it makes much difference.

Survivor fans haven't necessarily seen every season, and they may want to show the episodes to friends. It makes zero marketing sense to give away the ending.

Edit: IMO, I think this is why the DVD sales were low enough that they never bothered to put out all the early seasons on DVD. Later seasons are on itunes (without the terrible packaging).

I guess it makes sense that there might be new fans of the show thirsty for more. I hadn't thought about that. You're right. It is a dumb move.

What? Robert Zemeckis is behind Survivor's marketing campaign too?

The worst spoiler cover art of all time...

That's pretty bad too, although I think the spoiler tag may have been unnecessary at this point...

That would be me. Fortunately I realised the pitfall and have somehow managed to avoid looking at the boxes before watching the shows, but it is a pain.

The real question is when is Survivor: Africa going to be released?

I didn't even know reality TV was viable on DVD. That sounds like a pretty stupid decision if you ask me.

I was all prepared to come in here an bash Sliders and ST: TAS too.
