Trek video content new distribution path options

Trek TV series is not only available as broadcast syndication. It has been available on iTunes Store (TOS-R, and TOS season 2), XBOX 360 Marketplace (TOS-R) and TOS-R on-demand on a website.
ST: Enterprise is available on XBOX360.

This is new.
Sony Adds 16 Content Providers To PlayStation Network
Also Launches Video Service For PlayStation Portable
Sony is adding movies, sports and entertainment programming from 16 new partners -- including Showtime Networks, Starz Media, Comcast's G4 and E!, HDNet and The Weinstein Company -- to the PlayStation Network for its videogame consoles.
The company also launched a video-delivery service for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) system, letting users download movie and TV programs and take them on-the-go.
With the additional content, the PlayStation Network video-delivery service will have nearly 1,900 movies and 9,400 TV episodes

The PlayStation Store offers a combined total of nearly 9,000 hours of video-on-demand content, with more than 35% of the movies in HD format.

The PlayStation Network, which also provides free content and multiplayer online games, had more than 24 million registered accounts worldwide as of May 2009.

I think we may see Trek available on Playstation Network store.
I brought up the idea of possibly releasing a new animated Trek serialized episodic show on XBOX or Playstation's store.
As far a portable units the 3 main contenders are Apple's iPod, ZuneHD (September 2009), and Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) system. These 3 downloadable content vendors (Apple, Microsoft, Sony) just may become the next ABC, CBS, NBC in the next 10 years.
TimeWarner, Comcast, RCN, AT&T, Verizon don't seem to have the kind of control and deals over content for sale. They seem to be more of just dumb pipes moving data.

Discuss.

Yeah, but this is Sony! They lost me a long time ago so, sorry, this means little to me, personally. The important thing is to keep Trek circulating, though.
