My very crude sketch as how I think the turbo lifts work. They went up, they came down .

Captain Robau is a badass, and therefore he decides how the turbolift works on his ship.

Unless that's how 2233-era phasers sound. But didn't BOTH phasers and torpedoes fire when Robau gave the orders to shoot back?
The phasers fires where more of pulses and not streams.
Well actually we saw 2 kinds, pulses and streams but do carry on.

Nevermind when the scene in which the tactical officer reports that weapons are down is immediately followed by a shot of the Kelvin firing weapons Editors, come ON...

The bridge is a dome on top of the saucer, in order to get to the shuttle bay the turbo lift would have to go down a bit into the actual saucer, travel horizontally and then up to the cargo bay.
Come on people, are we really saying we don't know this? after how many years of watching trek?
If a turbo lift went "up" from the bridge it would be getting jettisoned into space.
I agree.

I didn´t see no badge in Robau when he was sitting in the captain's chair. Am I right?
Yeah, I thought I noticed that too, so I went back and checked. When we first see him, he's standing up and has the badge on his uniform, but then when the camera changes and he sits down in his chair, it's gone.

After that, I think he has it back on for the rest of the scene, but I'd have to rewatch the whole thing to be sure.

Re: USS Kelvin scene Mistake?

There is another mistake... a real one... when kirk leaves spock... he goes through a tunnel... he has a ROMULAN DISRUPTOR AT HAND, when he leaves the tunnel, he has a phaser in hand and it is taken away from him!

I love the chart! You know, I've seen the film 3 times now, and will be going for a fourth, but still can't figure out the turbolift!

That's about as close as it will get, with that diagram!

And...of course...being Robau, he couldn't take the quickest and most direct route...because that would have been showing weakness.
