Bob Orci and the lost Shatner scene
I could be totally off base with this statement, but I thought I remember him saying that he would do that at some point. If this is true I would love to see how the writers were going to use him just out of curiosity. If your out there Bob, I loved the movie and I see what you guys meant when you said you couldn't fit Shatner in this time. |

I don't think it would have hurt the movie at all. I'm guessing Abrams' notion that Shatner didn't want a "cameo" was the big reason behind not doing it, but if they had let Shatner read the script and decide for himself, he might have done it. |
