I think I know what it is.. her face, which is very "girl next door/innocent" type doesn't match up with her hair and body and such which is more of a classic sexy/sultry beauty look...

Okay, now that I've seen the movie... thumbs up! I thought she was great as Uhura. Looks-wise, she doesn't exactly knock my socks off, but there's certainly nothing wrong with her appearance -- overall, a nice-looking lady, which, added to her performance, equals a thumbs-up in my book.

remember one especially hot scene of Uhura, where the camera swerved around from a slightly upward angle to her sitting at the console and she closed her legs just in time.
I read your post before seeing the movie, so that's what I thought of when it got to that scene at the end. And it's all your fault.

My thumb isnt the only thing thats up for both ladies. Although, I used to get Zoe confused with Thandie Newton.

she was very hot in the movie so thumbs up.

Though I claimed before that I won't go see the new Trek movie but I still got dragged into it.

Sideways, she is a pleasant looking woman in need of a few hamburgers or something. That said, she was great as Uhura.

I thought Zoe was great in Pirates. But she didn't sign onto the sequels since she got seasick on the first movie. Too bad.
