Re: Shuttlebay 02 - USS Enterprise 1701 D - TNG
Great to see you here! I'm sure the folks in this forum will very much appreciate your efforts with this model. Like I said in the Okudagrams forum, this is simply astonishing work... the level of detail and care is amazing. Please continue to share with us, and welcome to the Trek BBS! ![]() -BolianAdmiral |

But yes !!! it is indeed the same that on Okudagrams!! One thank you for your comment which really pleased me. I am happy to be able to present my model here. I looked for an US forum on Star Trek for a long time. I opted for this one which pleases me and is serious. So, you will not be any more forced to see it on the French forum. It is a last resort, acceptable at the moment. Four leds are recquis to obtain a satistafisant lighting. My assembly is really of the amateur level. ![]() A wooden coffering in the form of roof dressed in aluminium. I have to add it on the highly-rated to diffuse the light towards the door and the round corner. ![]() ![]() The second frame will be certainly identical, just more reduced. These two frames will fit into the "Carton-plume" (other name "carton-mousse") which is a stiff cardboard with foam polyuréthane. I privilege the lightness also. |

Re: Shuttlebay 02 - USS Enterprise 1701 D - TNG
For the ceiling, I finally used 4 leds (I thought of installing neon of small sizes. For Lcars and ceiling light of the cabin, I added resistances. I underline that the lamps of ceiling are not ended. I again have to stick the frame, putty it, sand and paint it. Besides, a second lamp has to take place in foreground. The ground layer is of mark Tamiya ( semi-glossy Grey H305). I opted for this a little bit brilliant paint because only restricted parts will be visible and I wished that what would stay is a little bit relief. I remind that clear grey panels will come to hide the main part of walls. The horizontal beams will be peintent in white. I hope that my choice will be relevant. ![]() Lamps are not visible in put into series it, but I imagine that they should look like it. ![]() If you have remarks on the paint (the choice of colors), said the me. |

For me, I can change my avatar any time, from my "User CP" menu. I don't plan to, but I could...

![]() Capt Dazio, Did you make all the shuttles yourself, or are those resin kits? They look great, no matter what! |

Re: Shuttlebay 02 - USS Enterprise 1701 D - TNG
The shuttlepod type 15 is in resin. The mark is " Federation Model ". It is in the scale 1/72 and measure : Heigth : 2.7 cm Length : 5.7 cm Width : 2.85 cm Problem: the dimensions which I find on internet are different. I am going to have to examine... The shuttlecraft type 6 is in resin. The mark is "Alliance". 1/72, also! It is really bigger. Heigth : 3.7 cm Length : 9 cm Width : 5 cm However, I wish to make my own shuttle of type 15, with opened cockpit. And also figures, but there, I have no "master's degree" (!?), then I do not know if I could. Friendly, Capt Dazio |

Re: Shuttlebay 02 - USS Enterprise 1701 D - TNG
Just go to "www.federationmodels.com." They make a few items of their own, and resell (not "recast" but rather "buy, stock and resell") the works of lots of the better outfits. In particular, I recommend you look under "Probert Designs" in the "models" category. There's only one item in there from him so far, but I think you might want it. Last edited by Cary L. Re: Shuttlebay 02 - USS Enterprise 1701 D - TNG
I possess : FM-07 Shuttlepod Type 15, AM-07 Shuttlecraft type 6, AM-20 Galileo (Movie Style), AM-17 Galileo (TOS), AM-10 Shuttlepod NX-01, AM-37 Work Bee - Cargo train, AM-15 Delta Flyer, AM-19 Argo. I also wish to buy the following references, but I wait for promotions, AM-22 Type 9 Shuttlecraft, AM-11 Type 13 Shuttlecraft MMI-1516 Type 10 Shuttlecraft. I their wrote our to know if they thought of making figures Star Trek in 1/72 scale. They have never answered me. I know the model of shuttlecraft type 7 of "Probert Designs", who is very beautiful, but it is in 1/76, thus it does not interest me. I shall have to make it ! |
