So, I have a couple more WIPS for you now. This should be my permanant WIP thread.







This is my Tench Class Stealth Fighter, USS Requin based on a WW2 Submarine design. I'm currently writing a story about it, and it was designed around the idea of using a WW2 submarine as the primary set for a star trek fan show



This is the USS Wasp, based on the Apex Class of Winters. It would carry 4 Torsk Class Stealth Fighters.

Brighter images would be my first recommendation. Can't see anything in those except a few colored lights.

Agreed. The images look intriguing, from what little detail of the hulls one can make out in the darkness.

Are you working with the lights off in the room, or is your monitor setting a bit off? Very dark, cant make out much at all.

I think my settings are set a little too brightly, because the images looked fine to me. I'll make them a little brighter. Sorry guys

Damn, you must work in a photolab dark room. I still can't see much of anything. Might I suggest a white background?

I like the Wasp, but the sub fighter reminds me of Starblazers. Not a bad thing- I like that cartOon.

I liked that show as well

I have a large preview of the Wasp rendering right now, but I suspect it's going to be a bit of a wait before it's done

Also, I have some lengths worked out:

Wasp: 180 Meters
Subfighter: 95 Meters

This means that the scale was way off on the earlier render. The Wasp now only holds 2 subfighters now.

Crew compliment for all 3 ships is 65, meaning that when both subfighters are docked, there are 195 people on board the Wasp.
There are 3 decks on the Subfighters, 10 Decks on the Wasp.

The subfighters are considered their own ships, and are commanded not by a captain, but by a Commander. The Commander of the Requin is Commander Slade Cutter. The Torsk was commanded by Commander Bafford Lewellen. The Commander of the Wasp was Captain Clifton Sprague.
