Re: Assuming This Movie Is A Hit, What Do We Call The New Timeline?

"oldTrek" and "nuTrek" is what I'll use.

"Trek-That-Was" is cute, but both too cute and clumsy.

Just like so many other things in fandom, there needs to be a differentiation between Star Trek and the new Star Trek. I suggest Trek OT and Trek AT.

OT = Original Timeline
AT = Altered Timeline
I like what I've read in other threads.

Trekverse 2.0

Although I also like that "nuStar Trek" or "nuTrek" that I've been seeing too.

TITS = The Initial Timeline Stream

NUTS = Nu Timeline Stream

That could work!

New Timeline = NT

Both work for me.

Re: Assuming This Movie Is A Hit, What Do We Call The New Timeline?

This is how I see it...

ENT = Enterprise (in a class all by itself, & you can interpret that anyway you want.)

TOS = Classic Trek

TNG = The Next Generation (obviously, TNG/DS9/VOY)

NuTrek = 2009 On. (Till somebody changes things again... )

You know what? No fucking way was Sinestro Hal Jordan's first mentor in the Corps - when GL first encountered him he'd already been banished to Qward for his crimes.

I remember it very well. Of course, that was about fifty years ago, and the Geoff Johns version of the story is much better. So Sinestro was Hal's mentor. I'm cool with that.

It's all make-believe.
