It would repair. Cromartie/John Henry's did.
Continuity error: Cameron's sensors are blue in Season One.
My keyboard can switch between blue and red backlighting, if she's anything like it we'll see purple eyes next time.

Maybe the eel is also part of her (they can detach in some of the EU Terminator novels) or, maybe, Skynet sent back its own T-1000 and it took over her systems.

Well I guess since the 1000s are made of nanites, each significant portion would be sentient or still in communication wirelessly to the rest of the "collective". Like the Human Form Replicators.
