They lucked out with half dozen or so worthwhile characters in S1, and those are the ones worth hanging onto and salvaging (because they've been screwed up in S2-3). Most of those characters happen to be male. But they need to focus on their strengths and not start wandering off into their areas of weakness because this show is only just turning itself around creatively and the ratings are still a disaster. It's triage time. |

And I resent the reality-show dynamics of regularly losing characters along the way. Get them right in the first place, and keep them! With only a few changes in the cast.
