No special ending. Just another case, and life goes on.

But it would be nice if they went out winning the case.

I agree, I think that it should end with them getting a call about another murder and go back to work as the black screen fades over.

At least it will keep going on in some form though, Criminal Intent has been awesome (and more interesting, I think) and is coming back with new episodes on the 19th so I'll still be getting my L/O fix.
