Isn't 'Skiffy' a piss take of the name of the network that supposedly shows science fiction shows but over the years has developed a shoddy name for itself?

And now it's gone and given itself a shoddy name with 'Syfy!'

I laugh. I really do.

Thanks for the heads up. I might have turned the TV off at 11pm not knowing there was more to go.

Actually, I'm wondering if Space will cram everything into 2 hours.

EDIT: I just checked and my DVR actually does have the correct schedule with the extra 11 minutes. Somebody's on top of things.
Mine does too.

Because my DVR is set to record all new episodes of BSG, it should record the entire ep tomorrow night, with the extra 11 minutes. But, I'll be sitting in front of the TV, watching it, so who the hell cares?

I was wondering that, too. They've done it before, and they have some kind of fan reaction forum scheduled after it at 11pm.

Just checked, and mine's set with the 11 minutes too. Glad Comcast has yet again allowed me to stay lazy.

Thank you!

Wow...just checked and mine was automatically set for an hour and TEN minutes...so I would've missed that last minute. Now I really thank you.

1. It's just a silly nickname, really. Unless you mean how on earth did they come up with the nickname...in which case, people are still being silly by purposely (I hope!) mispronouncing the "scifi" more like "skiffee".
Yeah, how did it that whole Skiffy thing start.
"Skiffy" is just a mock mispronunciation of "sci fi"....it long predates the Sci Fi Channel:

It's actually 2 hours and 11 minutes. For CST, it starts at 8PM and ends at 10:11PM.

I'll probably start playback with about 40 minutes cached, to able to skip commercials. Sorry KFC!

Will the finale run over 11 minutes on the Space channel (Canada)?

So we know about the 11 minute runover on the Sci-fi network but I'm wondering if the same will be true on the Space network here in Canada.

My interactive guide says it ends after 2 hours but it could be a case of the guide not having been updated.

Anybody know?

Guess we'll find out. I'm thinking that Space might cram it all into 2 hours.
